Me too. I know I am an old fart who lives in the past, but I still remember fondly our rivalry with OU. I have never hated OU. Just wanted to beat them. I wish we had a rivalry like that again.

I remember the rivalry also (not so fondly with all the Sooner Magic ) but I never hated OU. I hated Texas and Colorado.

Nebraska vs Oklahoma was definitely a great rivalry. Hated the ‘Rivalry’ with Colorado and the manufactured one we currently have with Iowa.

He is coming off an off-season shoulder surgery. Also, Iowa’s receiver room is under-whelming.

It is like I said before, it is not his fault, it is how the iowa staff does things. They are going to play scared on offense because that is what most of the Big Ten schools do because they all suck so bad. So they decided long ago it was better to try and shorten the games as much as possible.

I see where you’re coming from, but Iowa does have a veteran o-line, blocking tight-ends, and decent running back depth, so that’s their primary focus on offense.

I saw a stat where pre-season teams that were ranked 1, 2, and 4 (which included Penn State) are now a combined 10-8. Yikes! Thats why I don’t pay attention to pre-season rankings. Need to wait until at least week 4 to even look at rankings.
