He made a couple of bad decisions that the whole college basketball world saw. I'm very grateful that my world hasn't seen all the bad decisions I have made. A lot of people would think a lot differently of me if so. He has paid the price of those decisions in my opinion and has moved on. I am thankful for the word mercy and what it means. I think Grayson has earned his mercy but it's gonna be tough on him everywhere he plays this year with the exception of Cameron. I'll bet my bottom dollar that he will handle it like a man and just has some awesome games and the only reaction to the crowd would be that smile of us which is heart warming. He's more than just a great player. He's very bright and courageous . He's a great captain. No doubt he will always be on the same hate level as Laettner, Hurley, Wojo, J.J. and G. Henderson but to me that's pretty much an honor. I have one son and all here know how much I love, adore and respect DukeSky85. But I would have to say if Grayson Allen were my son I would love, respect and be proud of him. We all talk about how much we will miss certain players when they leave Duke but before long with the talent that follows we pretty much get over them. With Grayson it's gonna be tough for me because even though I personally did not know what he went through last year with the suspension, injuries and taking away being captain which had to hurt I felt somewhat of what he was dealing with. I had to hear it everyday from unc nation and had no way to defend him . Side note on that most other ACC fans around here (NCSU and W. F. ) fans didn't say a word. I hope Grayson gets is 2nd. ring, Natty outstanding player, another All- American honor and that # 5 so deservedly rises to the top of Cameron. Thank all of you who read this dsouther essay. OFC
