Literally say the guy is 3rd strong because you can’t trust him and he’s carrying the rock in crunch time????
Yeah - give the guy that you publicly outed for having ball control issues the rock with the game on the line. That’s Scott Frost level stupidity
I am content with him going to classes and living a productive life in Lincoln. But maybe not playing when games are on the line.
I agree it seemed the offensive play calling really lacked and did some weird things at the wrong times
I agree and we just didn't make plays. The shot we took to Tommy Hill was there, just didn't execute. The next play would have been a completion, just got batted. I think they'll look at the film and correct it. We need to figure out the run game with Ervin and Rahmir because I still think we can run it.

Yeah Ervin. Trucked a guy in the hole, and broke a nice run. Kind of guy you want in a Big Ten game. Only got 7 carries.
Ervin should get 20 carries, Sims gets his 10 or so runs (or whoever QB is in) and Rhamir spell for a handful a game. Grant should be behind Emmett Johnson at this point moving forward
My biggest gripe is that they haven't corrected Grant's issue. He isn't tucking the ball or doing properly if he does, coaching need's to be better. Grant could be a good not great back imo with good coaching. The one good thing is our coaches realized right away that wè couldn't run up front so they tried the edges and qb runs, that's why GE was limited in carries. I really wonder how well RJ would have done with more carries. The bad, our OL didn't get much better that I could see so our offense will have to be creative. Being creative will be hard with a qb that has issues throwing the ball. I can't believe another year went by that we didn't have an actual qb competition.
There's a bit of overreaction here. The coaching staff seemed to play Grant as the starter for some reason even after addressing fumbling issues to the media after fall camp and praising Ervin all fall camp. I don't understand that. If you look at the play by play, could have sworn Grant was the starter and Ervin the backup even though they were listed the exact opposite of that. Grant should play, I just don't know why he was the acting starter in this game.
