Grand Canyon defeated Utah 68-58 in the Acrisure Classic semis to advance to play Iowa in the title game.

GCU did not make a single 3 pointer and won by playing great defense, and forcing 14 turnovers.

GXU will essentially have a home game against Iowa as Phoenix is a just 4-hour trip from Palm Springs.

GCU (4-2) ranks 103 in KenPom.

This is going to be another good test for the Hawkeyes, although I still like the hawks to win another slobber knocker 77-67

Just these 2. The Acrisure Series is like 4 mini tournaments but the champions aren’t playing each other or anything.

I think if they didn't play last night they might win by 15. I think with 2 games in 2 days they'll prob have to go deeper in the bench. Stirtz played 40 minutes last night, Combs 38, Koch 35.

I’d be all about a UNI and IA double header.

As an aside, UNI is really good this year; thought to be the top 1-2 teams in the MVC and stands a good chance of being the automatic qualifier for the NCAA tournament.

Looking at GCU’s roster, they have plenty of size. They roll out two seven footers and another pair listed at six ten. It will be interesting to see how BM uses his matchups against that kind of length, and it should be valuable preparation for the gauntlet of Big Ten giants waiting down the road.
