4% since their BLM =good and MAGA = bad policy roll out. When will businesses learn it's never good to piss off potential customers? Just like those bakers that wouldn't make the cake for a gay couple - why turn business away? Isn't the objective to make money?

Stock price does not equal sales. Time will tell if their policy affects sales. The Trump term has been hard on their stock. Down 66% since his inauguration. Ouch.

Regardless of policy disagreements. I will never understand people being OK with an American President intentionally harming an American company with American shareholders. Utterly baffling

I’m sure Goodyear did the heavy lifting in hurting their stockholders - if it holds as a trend. Why a company would make such a policy is beyond me.

Under “Unacceptable” were Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA and politically affiliated slogans or material.

they are hurting themselves so I don’t feel sorry for anyone at Goodyear or their stockholders. BFGoodrich and Bridgestone have the best tires on the market anyway. Bridgestone also makes the best golf ball now as well.

Goodyear is saying this was fake news and not from corporate. Glad you guys and the American President were so easily swayed to harm an American company with American blue collar workers and American owners.

I would think it would be easy for everyone to agree the American President should not willfully harm American companies and American workers.

I kinda agree with your basic stance on this, but I'm wondering. What's your opinion of American companies that have moved their manufacturing to China and then shipping their products back to the states?

Also notice that they just denied that the slide show thing came from corporate, but didn’t deny that it still could come from area Managers as well as companies they hire to do different trainings.

If it makes the most business sense for that company, who am I to tell them what to do? As a consumer I can choose whether I buy something made in China, but that's all the power I have. Shipping production overseas isn't always a negative to American workers/consumers/citizens as a whole, it's just an easy political stance to take.

And that's just another reason why so many people love the narcissist Trump. It's because he puts the US worker above those nations with child labor and horrible human rights abuses. China also subsidizes many of its industries and even intentionally devalues its own currency to create an unlevel playing field. The US cannot compete with these government tactics. There are countless examples, but one I remember all too well was when they were dumping cheap, subsidized steel into our country. Many of our steel and raw material industries were battered.
You see Coop, you've fallen into the crowd that thinks it's ok to strongly criticize the sitting president of the United States while you ignore horrific lawlessness, unfair trade practices and other major abuses.

Well said. Too much globalization and the CCP belt to road initiative is not a good model for the safety and well being of the United States. Covid-19 has awaken a lot of people to that.
