Golden Norseman Open

Saw on Trackwrestling that we had some guys compete at the Golden Norseman Open this past weekend. Joe Smith wrestled up at 174 and took first. And Micco, some OU guys were there also.

Other results:
Jet Taylor took 4th at 133
Christian Bahl took 3rd at 174
Austin Harris took 4th at 184 * edit, read the bracket wrong, Austin lost to Bear in the conso semis and didn't place.
Bear Hughes took 3rd at 184
Blake Andrews did not place at 285 (looks like he got injured)
Neil Putnam took 3rd as 285

I went to NEO’s website to get more information on this tournament. I have copied the entire article for your enjoyment.

Speaking of tweets, I'm now quite certain that Seth Duckworth reads this forum. I had noticed before that certain threads & posts coincided with some of the blog articles. But now I just saw a tweet that basically mirrors my opening post.

Speaking of tweets, I'm now quite certain that Seth Duckworth reads this forum. I had noticed before that certain threads & posts coincided with some of the blog articles. But now I just saw a tweet that basically mirrors my opening post.

I have to come clean here. He does periodically glance in and I'm him, but the tweet today about this was the first thing that I really pulled straight from here. I saw it, then looked it up on track and posted it. Good information, I had no idea those guys wrestled there. I was going to have our beat writer ask John when/if we might see Joe/Daton/Kaden again this year then stumbled onto this and thought I'd share it.

Anything else was just coincidental. Maybe a random shared opinion or something, but definitely not trying to steal anyone's thunder here. I apologize if it came off as that.

I will say admittedly I have joined in on a few posts that reference my articles and have posted some on those topics remaining somewhat ambiguous and hoping you all would read my stuff.

Oh boy. Seth, I'll start with apologizing. Reading your response and then rereading my post, I can see how you (and others) might think I was suggesting that you "took" ideas from this board and then "claimed" them as your own. I was not, so sorry if it came across like that. I guess I only meant it seemed like you were keeping up with what Cowboy fans were discussing here and then using it as a topic to share with a larger audience. Not "taking someone's ideas", but just "keeping a pulse on things" before adding your own thoughts and opinions. Hope that makes sense. I'm pretty sure I posted a link to one of your articles myself. I also gave you props for the various articles as well in another post.

I am always looking for wrestling info on the Pokes and your blog is part of that search. Case in point, you had an article on the planned wrestling room renovations. No one else even mentions it. It must be top secret.

Anyway, sorry again. Please join in on the discussions here if/when you can.

The idea of looking around on here was more of a "what do people want to read about?" than anything.

Ex. Someone else posted my article about budgets. That seemed to spark some discussion, debate, etc... on RTC's, which were a part of the source info I used on the budget stuff, so I rolled it into an RTC story.

Pretty much everything I've written was my personal opinion or info I gathered from research. I'm pretty sure I'd get fired if I tried to use a message board as my source for my stories.

The Tweet this morning was definitely a straight rip off from here though.

I think most fans generally are on the same page about a lot of things, so a lot of what I'm thinking coincides with you all.

With that if you all have any subjects you're interested in let me know and I'll see what I can do with it.

I don't think that's what you were doing and honestly my tweet this morning about this tournament was 100% ripped straight from here. I had no idea those guys wrestled there and just happened to get an email notification about that budget thread and clicked to see what people were talking about.
