This year the stud we signed hardly played-knee issues
The stud they signed missed a lot of time (Brown)-back issues
Neither are expected back for next season.
We have one commit for next season
They have none at this point
We and they are losing kids to the portal
The next several weeks will tell a lot for both teams as far as rosters
I hope we come out ahead

Louisville currently has 2 rotational players that can return next year and zero incoming freshmen. Adidas didn't steer any of their players there. They lost Kinney to Kansas after proclaiming they are Point Guard U. Unless they absolutely kill it in the portal, they aren't in good shape for next year. That in no way means we are either though... But at this very moment, I would put us slightly ahead, because we, as of right now, have enough bodies to field a team.

Both programs are in crappy shape right now, but given our historical superiority I would say we are in worse shape. In other words, we had farther to fall to get to this point than they did.

Louisville has a easy conference and will be in top 5 in that league with a good coach on board already. We are play on Wednesday of the conference tournament bad

I am hopeful our next coach will be better than ours. But that will determine the answer to your question.

The day Pope was hired I said UofL had instantly become equal to us despite our decade + domination of them.

No one bought it but here we are.
