Honestly he says he’s dieting, I’m wondering if he’s been prescribed Phentermine. That **** will give you rage you never knew you had.

I dunno. A fat boy diet to a truly clean diet leads to two or three weeks of heavy withdrawal symptoms in my experience. Food was the toughest bad habit I ever(temporarily) broke. Eat truly clean for a month or two and your eyes will be opened to the extent you are being poisoned.

Marcello is just a douche being a douche.

This is a breakdown like I've never seen before. I've never thought highly of him just because of how he covered us at the Ledger. But once he moved on and stopped covering us I didn't really have anything against him. But this is just embarrassing for him. i kinda hope he keeps it up so everyone can see who he really is.

Atleast he gave Brandon and extra click since he listened to his podcast. I hope he clicked an add when he was on his website also

Anything labelled "fat free" robs your brain of necessary FATS. That, and Kyle Veasey probably doesn't follow him on Twitter anymore.

He just wrecked his chance at moving up from beat writer. Not that he was going anywhere, but he’ll never move up from small market beat writer now. I feel bad for the guy; this is something unhealthy between his ears.

Did he though? I mean boisterous confrontational spats on Twitter doesn’t exactly seem like a hindrance to upward mobility these days.

Well he has already moved down the respect totem pole in that business. He probably makes more money, but he's a fan site reporter for Auburn 247 now, not a beat writer for a legit paper.

He blocked a guy for saying that State had more than three good players coming this year, and he gave a few examples of guys expected to have big years. Just football talk. I said "dang man, you blocked him for that? He didn't even say anything inflammatory". I got welcomed to the block party, too. Dude is too sensitive to be working in SEC sports.

If you're talking about All-Conference caliber players, we do have three. On the defensive line alone.

I believe he has now even surpassed Brad Locke and Matthew Stevens on the douchery scale.

I’ll assume no one actually cares, so the concise version is I went ~ 8 mo at 50% protein, 30% carb, 20% fat and ~ 1000 total exercise cals 4-5 days a week(running about 100mi/mo). No fried foods, no sugary beverages, etc. Full intake of about 2500-3k cals. Weighed and logged everything I ate and never took off my Fitbit hr except to charge it about once a week. One big cheat day about every other week once the visible gains slowed.

Wish I had stuck with it and never fallen back into old habits. The first weeks of such a drastic sudden change were pretty rough. But I don’t have the self-control to actually accomplish it slowly.

I just read through all that and good God. What a sensitive douche. He started the whole thing by making a crack about Brandon working at SEC Country that “he helped start” and then when Brandon responded, he turned into the victim and went on a two day meltdown. He probably is reading this thread and will comment on it too.

I feel bad for him because I think he’s actually losing it. When he was the MSU beat guy, he was a normal looking guy. He’s changed his whole persona (big beard, hipster glasses, etc...) from back then. It so weird how these fan site guys have zero oversight and can just go crazy. We’ve seen it with Neal, Wes Rucker (UT), Marcello, Yancy, and that Texas rivals guy whose name escapes me. Marcello started yesterday ball in his feelings about his weight and how he wasn’t comfortable in his own body, then picked a fight, and has been going crazy for 2 days. He even made a twitter poll asking if he should take a break from twitter and 2/3 said yes. It’s something about these fan site guys. They make more money than their traditional media guys and have essentially no rules. Leads to all kinds of shenanigans

Wait. What?

I thought he was with the Birmingham or Atlanta paper or somewhere? This guy works for 247, same as Yancy Porter?

Lort. What are we even talking about?

Yeah Marcello is the one who went personal, then proceeds to complain to everyone that Walker took personal shots. Dude needs meds.

how can anyone feel bad for him?

Because he's clearly having a tough time. He's a guy that is in the "hot take" business but doesn't have thick enough skin to handle the business. I'm guessing he also actually wanted to be a newpaper writer, and has found out that it's incredibly hard to make a living in that business, and his first job he got sandwiched between two people who have more talent than him, making it clear he doesn't have it, and now he's at a fan site.

Sure, he could be handling things better, and could have made better decisions on a whole lot of things, but that doesn't mean you can't (or shouldn't) feel a little bit of sympathy for somebody that is clearly struggling with some things.

He couldn't mentally handle gentle ribbing.

Walker was being his usual good-natured antagonistic self, then Marcello took it super personally and started firing off personal and professional shots that were way over the line.

Nah, the guy basically works on twitter for a living

He could have either not replied or replied with a snarky meme like everyone does these days and not said a word.

But nope, he not only gets defensive he starts talking down to people that replied.

Cant feel bad...he should know better.

It is plainly obvious that this guy was seriously wounded by a State fan or two calling a fatbox. He will take it to his grave, journalism be damned.

Biased fan site hacks are a dime a dozen and bear no resemblance to actual reporters and shouldn't be even considered as such.

I'm kind of with you. This dude is injured and clearly holding a grudge. My reaction was pity.

He responded as if he was offended by the suggestion that State might have a good year, and when met with pushback he got as emotional as I’ve seen any fan. Weird, even for a fan site guy.

I missed his writing at the Ledger. I gave up on that rag about 2005.
