Opposing coaches are starting to refer to him as just plain Geo... that’s a great compliment IMO.

He’s extremely dangerous late in close games.
He goes to the rim, he shoots, and he can run with the ball...his ball handling has improved greatly.

We’re going to be good next year.

He has to shoot more can’t take only 7 shots we need him shooting at least 15 shots a game

He had foul trouble in 1st half and really took him out of the game. Remarkable how he turned it on at the end- real sign of a winner.

Geo has earned the respect of all coaching staffs and more importantly, the refs......As I said earlier in the year when posters were down on him when he struggled - Geo will graduate RU as a Legend....mark my words.....

As good as Geo has been he’ll be even better next season simply by not having to handle the ball as a PG. IMO, it’s possible he can be a first team all B1G level 2 guard.

I think he’ll still get some PG minutes next year, but it will definitely be interesting to see him be able to play off the ball again so he can focus on scoring more at times.

I understand running full speed with the ball is a basic fundamental for any point guard at this level.
But Geo’s accelertion in transition and his first step driving to the hoop are becoming really good, for the opposition, annoyingly good

Baker is the closest Rutgers has to a go to scorer. He can't have only 3 points in the first half and be a non factor in the second half until the last few minutes of the game. The problem is that opponents are giving added attention to Baker limiting his shots which means the other players on the team need to step up and make shots.Rutgers won the game which is fantastic but lets not kid ourselves in how close it was to being a loss. The team needs more consistent scoring from beginning to end to give a margin for error at crunch time;.

We just beat a team on the bubble for the NCAA tourney..chances are any of those games go down to the wire. There was nothing lucky with how prepared we were at the end. We follow that protocol and we will win more than a few.

Baker was on the bench most of 1H because of 2 fouls. Frankly, as I've said in other threads I think it better he gets time off. I think Mac and even Kiss can help there. Having him fresh end game is a great formula of late.
And you're right...those 2 bonehead fouls at the end almost got us. Thank God Minny can't shoot FT either.

him being out hurt in the first half but gave him fresh legs in the 2nd half...fresh leg Geo in crunc time is clutch

Excellent point as usual BAC, I have been saying all year that when Geo does have a rough day its due to the necessity for heavy workload, being the PG & defending a high level scorer. Have to think next year with Young & Paul coming in his workload will decrease in minutes some but more importantly he can play off the ball & keep himself fresh for the late game situations which he has thrived in.

In case you haven't noticed, EO and Tez have stepped up and so has Caleb.

That comment did not deserve that reaction. Everyone knows we need shooters... especially 3 point shooters. That does not take away from the hard-fought victory.
It's not an isolated comment, it's a pattern of behavior. Whatever. You dont like my posts, I dont like his.
