Can anyone give an assessment of how Geo played in his first game situation? Looks like he got a lot of minutes. Will that playtime continue?

I thought he played pretty well. He only scored 4 points on 2-8 shooting and he was 0-4 on 3's. I think he was a little nervous on the outside shooting but he ran the team well. He had a few really nice passes. I think he was only credited with 3 or 4 assists but I saw two articles that said he should have been credited with 6. I don't know if he didn't get credit for a few or that the writer meant that a few guys missed easy shots on his passes. Coach Pikiell really praised Geo for his play. He wants Geo to run the point very often so he can have Corey off the ball. I think he will average over 20 minutes and may often get over 25 minutes. There were a few guys guessing he would only get 10 minutes or less. I just don't see that at all. I think he will play a lot. He is a very important part of our team.

Very talented kid. First time playing against speed like St. John’s. It’s just like he will see in the Big 10. He will get better as he gets used to that level of play. I can tell he can do it.

He is just out of the womb. Lets let him crawl a bit ..From everything we have heard he sounds like the Deal.

I think this is the perfect way to develop a person. Throw them in the fire early once so they can struggle and see what it’s like. If they do well then awesome and if they struggle they now have a reference point in their brain of what they need to do to improve and get more comfortable. Now we have a bunch of games against weak opponents for him to learn and get better. When we face a good opponent again he’ll have more experience and know what to expect. We should scrimmage a top team for charity every year. It’s a win-win-win-win.

Geo was calm and collective. You can tell at the start he was a little nervous. Makes sense the guards he was going against were lightning fast and highly regarded(high 4 stars in Ponds and Lovett).

He held his own, created and got open shots.

He is going to be a great passer and is very long. His stroke looks good, first game jitters i can absolutely see the 8-10 ppg this year 100%.

At the first game, Geo did not stand out, but he without a doubt fit in.

This is the right level for him, and he will do great things over the next four years.

Effort, awareness, athleticism was all there. I think he will average 23-30 minutes this year.

Baker likes the 3 pt shot, but he has a knack for using a screen very well, and opening up space for himself in the mid paint area. Once his jump shot gets crisp, or his floater, he will have a great asset there.

Was St. John’s the best backcourt Rutgers will face?

I cant say for certain the best backcourt hell face. Theyre def gonna be one of the quickest. He will see plenty of talent. I think he did very well all things considering. Shot wasnt falling but his stroke, like i said, shows he can make shots.

Geo, to me, looks like he will get at least 25 mpg and maybe up to 28 mpg....and looks that he will get the looks to get around 10 ppg.
