I don't know how his college career will turn out--barring injury he has top level potential--but purely from a recruiting perspective, he is a prospect we simply HAVE to get. Everything I read about him indicates that he'd be a five star guy if he played for a high school in Texas, California, or Florida. Time will tell but I'm absolutely elated that he committed to us.

OU is putting together a solid 2022 class: 16 total, 8 offensive, 8 defensive numbers.....with more to come.
Only curiosity I have is what Riley has in mind regarding quarterbacks as Rattler looks likely to leave after this season.
There must be a capable backup (or two) and if Rucker is indeed the third string QB, he might see playing time against Kansas this Saturday. There are other QBs on the roster, but Rucker was declared the third stringer as August drills ended.
I hope that as this season winds down, Rattler can stay sharp and focused. It would be vital to OU's championship chances if Williams gets injured. If Rattler is considering leaving, he needs to go out with a strong effort and not a whimper.

I understand why so few Oklahoma high school players become Sooners, but I would like to see OU at least reel in the top 3-5 players every year.
Painosooner pointed out years ago that the state of Oklahoma high school football has declined over recent years. The small towns generally don't provide elite talent so its in the OKC and Tulsa areas where the big name programs generally go to for talent.
Right now, OU has 4 commitments from in-state with DT McCellan from Owasso a strong lean towards OU.

He'd be a 5star guy if he'd not torn his ACL last year.

Ironically, McClellan is likely going elsewhere now, and we are headed toward the Nose Tackle from Cali.

I really don't know. But I suspect they got tired of McClellan slow playing them, and really never giving them a feeling that he might be on board. Meanwhile, Hero Kanu has gushed about his Oklahoma trip, and his mom too. And most people think HK is a better player.

The interesting thing is that he hasn't played a lot of football. He is from somewhere in Europe, and maybe an exchange student in California. And is really, really a DL talent. I'd rather have McClellan, but he spent most of the recruiting season acting like OU wasn't as likely to get his sig, up against BIG, or maybe an SEC team.

I think we might not get either. But I just get the feeling that McClellan is headed elsewhere.

How does Micah Bowen (transferred to us through the portal from Penn State) fit into the overall QB picture? I know the PSU people were sick about him transferring especially after to losing to Iowa when their regular QB went down.

Is Rawlins-Kibonge still on the team,
