He's a BABY when things don't go his way.He was crying about the foul discrepancy at one of the interviews during a timeout.
Love to know what was said there at the end of the game. Stay classy Geno. Dawn had your number tonight.
I was there. Believe it was elite 8 game. The foul discrepancy was funny. Anyone remember when RU played Tennessee? At one point 9 fouls vs RU and not one foul for Tennessee. I dont' think VIvian acted that way. It was NCAA tournament game but not the final game.
That's why ESPN broadcasts should be watched with the sound off.Geno lost and ended the season looking like a classless sore loser.
Dawn might not deserve any sympathy for here actions, but Geno is the one that deserves to be condemned.
edited to say: Geno put out an apology concerning his behavior
>"There's no excuse for how I handled the end of the game vs. South Carolina," Auriemma said in a statement issued through the school. "It's unlike what I do and what our standard is here at Connecticut. I want to apologize to the staff and the team at South Carolina. It was uncalled for in how I reacted. The story should be how well South Carolina played, and I don't want my actions to detract from that. I've had a great relationship with their staff, and I sincerely want to apologize to them."<

UConn's Geno Auriemma apologizes to South Carolina for outburst
UConn coach Geno Auriemma apologized to the South Carolina staff for his emotional outburst at Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley in the closing seconds of their Final Four matchup.www.espn.com
One thing I'd like to add was table of fools and influences ESPN had commenting on the game took away some of the enjoyment, fo me, watching the game.
Especially at the end when two influences , ESPN had commenting all through the game , seemed to be mocking a UConn player crying, while on the floor playing., as the clock ran down.
Geno is just one of many, college basketball coaches, over the course of time that fits that no class description.Geno is like school on a Saturday. No class.
Wow, just saw the Geno/Dawn show. Ugly behavior. Must have killed him that Dawn beat his undefeated arse.He was crying about the foul discrepancy at one of the interviews during a timeout.

You had to remind me of that. It's a bad memory. Many other reffing mistakes with Tennessee over the years. I so miss the coaching gems with Pat, and Vivian. Sigh. The foul discrepancy was funny. Anyone remember when RU played Tennessee? At one point 9 fouls vs RU and not one foul for Tennessee. I dont' think VIvian acted that way. It was NCAA tournament game but not the final game.
Dawn has taken over the Vivian vs. Geno position.UConn loss becaus Fudd and Strong had miserable shooting stats including missed layups.South Carolina defense stopped Uconn from getting open shots with player movement and instead forced them to dribble the ball causing turnovers.Staley was the better head coach. Both Geno and Staley have big egos which is the reason they hate each other. The foul discrepancy favoring South Carolina happens based on how rerferees call the game.
Such an arse, he will be gone soon.Geno lost and ended the season looking like a classless sore loser.
