I figured they would beat Miami soundly, but the Canes just don't have any fire. Might as well give the Tide the trophy now.

Canes fan actually thought they had a chance too RollingLaugh

D'Eriq King is another QB that should be playing WR.

Nah, Clemson will put up a good fight. Maybe OSU too. Outside of that, Tide will roll.

Miami's tackling RollingLaugh

That south Florida tackling technique not working too well today.

No, they are not. On the other hand, Bama is playing exceptionally well.

Right now, there's not a better team than Alabama.
Clemson very well could be. Their defense returns their two best players from last year. Plus they have a couple young studs on the DL who will likely have breakout years this year. Clemson's defense is going to be completely dominant this year. Their receiving corps will be amazing and rival Alabama's last couple years at that position. Etienne was an amazing player, and Clemson has a guy at RB this year who's about as good as he was. Their biggest question mark will be OL and qb. If they are at least respectable there, I think Clemson wins it this year.

BAMA QB is cool as a QB and throws one of the most catchable balls I've seen. Yup... They will be right there in it again. I don't think they have a stud at RB yet tho. Guys look good but not difference maker good.

Manny Diaz needs to take that stupid turnover chain and trash it. Diaz claims to have all the answers but unfortunately he doesn’t know any of the questions.

Miami is overrated. Smack them the mouth a couple of times and they roll over.

If we played Bama today it would have looked like us playing Fordham. ..but worse. How did we fall so far down the food chain.

It's amazing that Nick Saban can cobble together another great team with only five star and personally selected high character four star talent.

I'm not sure you want bama as your first game of the season...doesn't give you much time to work out the problem areas

College football on a national level is done due to lack of competition. The top five (we know who they are) sign the top 150 players and the players know that if it doesn't work out they can transfer. There is no reason to go to a lesser team to "play right away" etc. No one can compete with these top 5-7 teams on a regular basis. CFB is interesting for rivalries and for conference play but no longer for national interest IMO. I watch Big ten and some other games but I generally don't bother with games like Alabama and Miami - I knew it would be a blow out. I have no interest in SEC really.

I used to like CFB over pro but I am changing - at least NFL has a draft and the fortunes of teams can change.

I used to favor college over NFL because of the rivalries and tremendous fan interest for particular teams. Lately I've come to appreciate the NFL game much more. The margin of error is so much smaller. Every guy on the field was one of the best guys at his college. If you play defense, you have to cover and make tackles. You can't be a one trick pony.

That sounds similar to what the rest of the NCAA was saying back when Nebraska and OU were dominating college football.....
