Gate City vs Dan River radio coverage?

Too much Mac and not enough supporting cast. After leading most of the game....Dan River puts together a great 4th qtr and wins it 96-84.
DR is no joke. My Dawgs found out the hard way.
GC gave up 61 pts total in 3 qtrs and then allowed 35 points in the 4th alone...Being outscored 35-18. That will get you beat in the post season every time no matter who you play. GC would have lost to Graham had they played that way Tuesday night. It's a 4 qtr game....Can't lay down in the last 8 mins.
I won't say it's just a lack of defense....Alot of their problem is a lack of rebounding. DR probably had 25 pts off of 2nd and 3rd chance buckets. Unacceptable stuff right there.

Amazing how DR is doing this and Devin Stone is likely out for the year with a sprained MCL. Good win Catz!

Yes he can....But I think any GC fan would have rather seen him have 10 pts and the Devils win the game. Impressive performance no doubt....But the other guys were nonexistent. They better clean out the cobb webs and wake up or it's gonna be another let down in the post season for the Devils.
Tim Hayes twitter had McClung finishing with 64 points. Wow!! Heading to the states McClung is the favorite for 2A Player of the Year, imo. But, if Lee wins the title and George continues his impressive postseason play too, then George will be POY.
You do know that R.E. Lee plays Madison County Saturday in the Region Finals? But I hope they are looking ahead...
I do not speak for the team. I'm a fan, and I was talking about 2A Player of the Year only. The teams are set for the states, all that is left is who is playing who in the quarterfinals. That has no bearing on who will be POY, because McClung or George will be that player, imo, even if Lee or Gate City do not win the state title. My point is that I think for George to be POY over McClung, Lee will have to win the title.
Im just now hearing about Mac kid! Ouch! That kid is bad! He 6' and has HOPS!!!!! He is amazing to watch after watching a few YouTube vids. He is ready for next level NOW! Cant wait to follow him at next level. He nasty!!!!
I been paying attention to dogwood district schools (DR and chatham). This supposed to be the weakest DR team, but i say honestly is best! This is an all home grown DR team (no recruits from Danville)...and without a Edmund on team. Gotta root for this team.

For those that were at the game, did DR concentrate on shutting down the cast around Mac knowing Mac would get his points or was Mac just that much better? You just don't see this point total from one kid in a game this close. What happened to GC in the 4th quarter? Would bet these teams meet again.
If GC doesn't rebound the ball better than they did tonight I don't see them making it past RE Lee or Madison. I really don't know how they will perform on Saturday after the letdown today either. I wouldn't be shocked to see them come out flat Saturday and get their tails whipped.

Of course DR tried to stop Mcclung. DR no helped Mcclung ... Double teamed Mcclung. Grabbed his jersey as he ran down the court... tried to deny him the ball.... Heck I saw one coach with a voodoo doll putting pins in it. He is just a freak athlete.
