Interesting game so far. Looks like Illinois has some good freshman. We need to break the zone attack the basket. Some turnovers would be nice but I think we're being patient enough.
Let's see if we can go on a run soon

13 gets away with a moving screen and then hits a 3 but then officials call moving screen r at the other end. Unbelievable yet not surprised

terrible effort on both ends against a bad team, letting that ponytail shoot open 3s even though they knew what she was going to do. Offense putrid...4 points in like 12 minutes, thats absurd. This is not a good Illinois team so it seems one step forward, two steps back

More like two steps forward (PSU & Wisc). This team is worlds better than it was in OOC play. Agree that the results today are putrid but it just shows how tough it is to win on the road. Still another 20 minutes to go.

Ok. Maybe two steps. Illinois is unconscious. 9-15 from 3. We can't buy a basket. Throw this one out and concentrate on Nebraska.

its unfortunate because there was a good shot at 4-1 with this favorable early schedule. I agree we saw improvement but this is a stinky egg...they are shooting way too many 3s and not working tightening up the D, thats why they are losing, its too loose

There is now a positive light where Rutgers is out scoring Illinois high scorer 24- 21,near end of third quarter..

there is nothing about Illinois that screams good team or dicey or intimidating on either end of the floor, this may be worst performance of the year

its the same old story with the CVS offense....the ball moves, but no one moves without the ball, it is the same offense i used with middle schoolers to keep it simple...

Looks like it's a bad game for RU after two games they made their fans happy.
Now those who claim RU WBB is terrible can honestly go back to saying they played terrible today and say the opponent wasn't very good either.
Can't say that's wrong, but will just hope the Team keeps those type of comments
fewer and fewer as the season progresses and makes it even harder to claim who the Ladies beat was not a good team when talking about the win.
Hopefully the victory margin is big enough to quiet the detractors from making a win look less than it was.

Expect ( actually hoping for) a post claiming there won't be anymore wins this season to refute my victory margin statement. Seems after someone claims the team won't win another game: the Ladies immediately prove them wrong.:D

but sadly this game is a slaughter and I can't find anything to post positively about it: except I hope this game makes the team realize it hasn't turned the corner, if the last two wins started them thinking that way

Write it off as one of those wtf games. Even when we get a good shot, it bounces off the rim and out.

I watched the first half and a few minutes of the 2nd half and gave up. It's unwatchable and awful awful basketball against
a team with 7 freshmen. The game has totally passed CVS by.
So sad.

I will say it. After watching that performance, they won't win another game all year. Anyone who watches this team knows they have to zone us and game over.

I agree. I have season tickets and have been to one game when Cappie's number got retired and left at the half. I haven't been back and don't plan to. CVS as much as I love her has to retire. She is doing a disservice to this program.

Missed the game. No excuse. I forgot it was on. Shocked by the lopsided score. Not shocked we lost because I didn't think the hot shooting would continue forever. Also in the press conference after the Wisconsin game, CVS said they don't practice 3 point shooting to any extent. Yeah, the game seems to have passed her by.

Wow, just 26% from the field and 6% from the 3 pt line. Not going to win any games with shooting like that. I like the way we move the ball around though, pretty quick (which is good).
