Northwestern (10-2, 1-0 Big Ten) hosts Ohio State (9-3, 1-0 Big Ten) tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Wildcats will look to extend their winning streak to six games, and pick up their second Big Ten win.

I do not like giving up two offensive boards in the first two minutes.
I also do not like missed shots.

Sueing is a load.

2 made baskets at the 2 minute mark.

OSU demonstrates our over guarding leads to easy threes whenever they want them.

OSU is setting a back screen whenn they skip the ball. It's good offense.

NU cannot make an open shot.

I like Bardo’s comment: “It’s nice that NU doesn’t need Nicholson to necessarily score, so he can develop that last of his game.”

8 points in 13 minutes might tell a different story. Yuck.

Stop this splitting minutes at 5. Verhoeven should just play to allow the Nicholbomb to catch his breath.

Our defense improved a lot in containing penetration. Hopefully, OSU will not understand how much we collapse if the ball goes inside.

It doesn’t help that the refs aren’t calling OSU for charging and gives them fouls when they leap into standing defenders.

But hey, 3 minutes left and we might break 14.

We are averaging about 1 basket ever 4 minutes so wouldn’t count in it

Learn a lot about fans, players and coaches in these kind of games. Every team goes through them.

NU did not quit and go through the motions like last year.

It's only an 8 possession game.

After the first 6-8 minutes we were able to stop them. OSU did not show smart offense beyond that point. Did not feed the post once.

I am still hopeful.

85-15 NU crowd here. They’ve been waiting to explode but have had no opportunity to do so. Man, this place would be an incredible home court if we were ever any good.

We can't keep missing shots at this rate, can we? And duhOSU is making everything. We need to flip the script second half.

Cats tightened up on d a bit and stopped the overhelp that was killing us. We’ll see how it goes.

We will be very offensively challenged all season. It’s not scoring the 80’s in two games that changes that. Audige and Buie are going to be hounded all season. We are not an above 60-a-game team in the conference.

I think they stopped "making everything" after 6 to 8 minutes. I was actually impressed with our defensive effort after that. Along with their inability to find solutions if they were not being able to roll off picks and beat us off the dribble.

Nicholson is just awful awful awful right now. He's not alone in that regard but when you're 7 ft + and can't make a two footer then it's a bad recipe for your team's success.
