Richie looked good. That was a ridiculously bad team we played. I don’t have much else to add since people quit taking the Northwestern bait.

Agree on competition but nice to see some 3's fall. We've had wide open looks all year and trouble getting iron. the made ours bigs look NBA'ish but nice to see them have some success. Remain worried about Haywood and KES and Joiner is having some issues running the team.
With our roster, we MUST have KES, Haywood, or Richie shooting 40+% from the 3.
Tonight it was Richie. So many young guys on this team and no real superstar.
In other news, Thompson learning top level basketball. Still think he made a mistake heading out of town.

Jackson and Williams getting substantial bench minutes. Use Ugboh to spell Idowu for breathers. Once Earley is recovered add him to this rotation.

That’s a good lineup. Wish we would try it.
Have to win at Memphis to make up for home loss.

I wanna see what Richie does when he has defenders in his face and/or the threat of defenders in his face. It may all be in his head, but if the opponent changes, his head may change when the opponent changes.

For shame, you switched Idowu for Ugboh.

I’m concerned Earley may be a long way from ready. Maybe next year. I just don’t see that aggressive play needed down there. I had hoped to see a big Sophomore bump.

Definitely a needed game. However, I’d still rather play a bunch of “good teams” in non-conf than pad the ole record.

KES has a nice shot...smooth. I want the KES I saw in high school to show up.

Shumate is ridiculously explosive. I think Haith has to find him some minutes for rebounding purposes.

Williams hits free throws. Thank you!

Can we trade Ugboh and Haywood for Kevin Obanor?

That was my proposed roster 6 months ago. Haith should take some pointers from me.

William's is developing nicely.

If Richie can continue to put up that sort of shooting this teams potential improves a lot.

Jackson and Rachal are the best two way players in this conference. Outside shooters will allow them to dominate the game.

We need Haywood to get going and then we can alternate Rachal, Richie, and Haywood in that fourth guard spot depending on what we want. That becomes the core to build around. With Rachal in KES can rotate in to add shooting, with Richie hitting Jackson can exploit the inside from the spacing caused. Haywood can get paired with either if he starts playing up to potential giving us balance or two perimeter shooters for Joiner/Williams to feed with Idowu putting in some offensive post scoring. Ugboh seems a solid rebounder and will give us some clean up points, good defender, so our post is by committee but we should be able to cover the offensive or defensive deficiency by who is on the floor with them.

Other than Haywood developing I think this was the best version we can see of this team. Now against better competition will they perform?

Earley I hope is still just delayed by the injury. Our other freshman look like freshman, Shumate is about him understanding our system I would guess. He looks the most ready to go of the ones not named Williams and by far the best athlete out of them. He's a wing who signed late and the Tulsa system has some finer points to it, so I think we may see him become a bigger contributor by Feb when he has had a chance to get some practices and understanding.
