Every year is a new year, but typically when you have a returning head coach and starting QB the offensive attack stays mostly intact. In looking at Cincy last years, albeit last year, a couple things make me think how the game Thursday goes.
They started last year scoring a fair amount of points, they lost 28-27 at home against Pitt, they beat Houston 34-0 at home, lost 44-41 on the road at T. Tech, then beat UCF 19-13 on the road, they then beat a real good Arizona State team 24-14 at home.
Then they proceed to lose their last 5 games. They lost 24-23 to CU in Boulder, lost at home against WVA 31-24, lost on the road to ISU 34-17, lost on the road to KSU 41-15 and finally lost at home to TCU 20-13. I consider Pitt, T. Tech, UCF, CU and TCU as kinda "finesse teams." Whereas ASU, ISU and KSU are more of the physical type teams and similar to NU's style of play.
If NU doesn't get sloppy with the ball, I could see a ISU or KSU type result because both those teams are "similar" to NU in style of play. JMO
