Frost on QBs today

Even mentioned running with both of them. Says both deserve to start right now. Be interesting to find out who had the turnovers today. He wasn't happy about it.

As long as both continue to get better, I’m willing to wait until the offense comes out on the field on 9/1 to see which one starts. As Victor Maitland would say, “I do like surprises.”

Not surprised. Fans want to make a determination now on the basis of perceived ‘fit’ in the offense, tweets about one QB getting all the first team reps, and in general, a minuscule amount of evidence in relation to the coaches. Meanwhile the coaches keep saying things like it will ‘play itself out’ and intimating that it’s too close to call. It seems unlikely that a decision will be made until the week of the Akron game. The good news is both QBs are playing well enough to make it a tough decision.

Agreed, this is a great problem to have. I’m glad neither one is backing down an inch. I said it from the beginning, I’ll be happy with either one and I truly mean that. I never gave up on Gebbia and I love the potential in Martinez. OBrein and Lee where the only QBs on the team that didn’t quit fit Frosts offense from day one. Gebbia and the rest are more then capital to run Frosts offense and be a threat. Then of course, we go out and add another top 100 QB in Martinez. If I had it my way, both will have there chances to shine and do good for our Huskers and a shot at the NFL. Great problem to have.
