When I compare Cal's program at UK to Pitino's at U of L, the thing that makes me most proud is the people our program has produced. Was reading the story about Cousins and how Cal made his assistants make up a big baby bottle and yell go get his bottle when Cousins acted up in practice. Cousins was on that line when he got here. He could have easily been the terrible person our opponents said he was. Have you heard anything bad about him other than his technical fouls in games?

Look at John Wall. He just donated a bunch of money to Houston and re-upped with the franchise that paid him so handsomely. He's clearly on the right path.

Cousins, Wall...all these guys come back to UK and show loyalty to the nth degree.

Now look 75 miles west on I-64. They come up with this fancy slogan L1C4 and say that loyalty can only come from staying at your school until Coach says you can go. How's that working out? Terry Rozier, when the scandal first broke out, was asked about it and said "I'm a Boston Celtic now, not a Louisville Cardinal." Montrezl and Chane have been disassociated from the program and weren't told why. We could come up with quite a list of players (cough...Chris Jones...cough) who have been punks ever since they put on the red and black.

Our guys come to UK and learn more than just basketball under Cal. And that makes me very proud to be a fan.

Honestly we just do it how it should be demanded. Players should feel a connection to the program and should behave. Not that I'm not proud of it, I am, but the goal here is to win championships for Cal. I'd rather be talking about last seasons back to back to back title.

But charity is good, it is good.

What if he let his players be punks and still had only one NC, would that change your opinion of him? ;)

The goal is to win championships for the University of Kentucky, not Cal.

Cal has won numerous championships. Sec regular season, tournaments, and of course the 2012 National Championship.

He'll probably win another National Championship or two.

You seem like you dislike Cal. If that's the case, then you've hated every coach we've ever had. Yeah, I know AD had four titles, but that took him 39 years to do. My guess is, if Cal coaches here for thirty nine years, he'll have at least 4 titles.

Thats what I meant.

I'm all for acknowledging Cals accomplishments, players, NBA guys etc. but long winded post about a charity event or "good kid" players and slurping it up like nothing else matters gets old. Not a bad thing, but ya know.

Win the mf'n tournament again and I'll shut up.

Ole Morgoalsky I see your desire coming true. (I'm not noseydumas predicting things.) I'm wit ya on the goal of winning it all and more than once. More than twice. Ride this Cat/Cal frenzy that has been going on for years. I see UK winning one they shouldn't have won...it's more than fair. Too many tough breaks have happened at the worst times.

One thing I can state with certainty. (Some jealous faction would have found it already had Cal been doing the dirty,) Cal is doing what it takes to win the titles. The title(s) will come. (Do what it takes to make the money, the money will come.) jmuo (Not that it matters what I think, but, that's what I think.)

No, I don't like when people put Cal above Kentucky. Rupp wasn't, he sure as hell ain't.

Cal is 58...39 years is not happening. I'm guessing 6-8 more at the most, and I'll be surprised if he wins another title although we'll more than likely be good every year.

"L1C4" always was a stupid, shallow, vapid, meaningless slogan.

It is perfectly befitting a stupid, shallow, vapid, meaningless program. And getting more so every day.

Much harder to win it with the cards (not those cards cause we own them in the tourney) stacked against us each year. Be it the draw or a corrupt ref, we have a harder road than anyone to championships.

Last year was probably the worst hosing I can remember. Higgins history with Kentucky backs that up.

On the other hand, look at nearly every 50/50 call and even some very obvious calls that went UNC's way in the tourney. UNC could have easily lost to every team after the 1st round if any call went the other way. If UK got a whistle like that every other year, we'd have at least 3 titles in the Cal era.
