How did it affect you? I was tested in June due to being in close contact and was negative. I teach and coach, so I’m around kids for about 11hrs a day, and like most schools, we we are having issues. I never cough, no matter how sick I get. But I havent been able to stop since Friday, and it’s not my normal sinus issues. So I go yesterday to get a shot and some cough medicine and the Dr insists I take the test. I had no intention of getting one again. They have been seeing a lot of young, healthy, in shape adults with the same symptoms recently. No headaches. No taste issues. No fever, just an irritating cough and what most think are sinus issues, and their tests are mostly coming back positive. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. And if not, you have to think/hope this thing is weakening and won’t be as big an issue in the future once we know more about it.

Just recently had a really bad dry cough and was feeling lousy, no fever but did have stomach issues. Since my age is a factor and with my wife's condition decided to get tested and was negative. It turned out to be bronchitis which I normally get in September or October, not sure why I got it in August. Went to my doc, gave me a couple shots and medicine felt fine a few days later.

I haven’t had it (that I know of). But it’s run through where I work. Around 30 cases best I’ve been able to count - that would be about 20% of our employees.

I’m only aware of one that had to be admitted to the hospital, and that was due mainly to dehydration. Most have just said fever, aches, nausea, and no energy were the main problems - basically like normal flu. Only a few developed a cough. Most said they did have trouble taking a deep breath (they could tell their breathing was affected) and they did have the loss of taste.

All are under 65, but probably half would fall into higher risk categories with pre-existing conditions. Almost all were back at work after 2-3 weeks.

Wife and I had different experiences. She was laid up for about 4 days with flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, little tightness in the chest, exhaustion). I ran a light fever for 5 days but no other symptoms. But since we were work from home, didn't miss a beat for work. Just was exhausted the by the end of the day. 2 kids under 10 never demonstrated any type of symptoms and were not tested at that time.

Started out say one throwing up and some serious diarrhea (Sunday night/Monday morning). Only threw up that one day. Was tested positive Monday morning (rapid test from one clinic and 3 day test from a separate clinic). Severe headache Monday Tuesday Wednesday. First 4 days had major muscle soreness and could barely walk. Lost sense of taste and smell day 3 and didn’t regain that until day 13. The diarrhea lasted all 14 days and has just recently subsided (day 22). Didn’t run a fever one single day.

As a reference I’m a 40 y/o UPS driver, so in semi decent shape.

Woke up during the early morning hours on a Sunday-coughing like crazy. Had a headache, got up and got the thermometer and had 101.5 temp. Felt like I had been run over by a Freightliner for the first couple of days. Every muscle in my body ached. Went to the clinic and got tested and came back positive 4 days later. The fever lasted off and on for about 4 days, along with the headache. Cough lasted for about a week. Developed some intestinal issues the first few days but that lasted only a couple of days, thankfully. The worst thing that I experienced was loss of energy and strength. It took me almost 2 months before I really felt like myself. Oh, and the loss of sense of smell/taste lasted a couple of weeks. I was lucky all things considered. I’m 65 years old, and 4 people I graduated from high school with died from it. I’m fortunate that I’ve been blessed with good health up to this point-the 4 former classmates all had some health issues from what I understand.
