If your two choices were a head coach from a successful mid-major or an assistant (with at least four years experience) from a long-time power program--Michigan State,North Carolina,UCLA,Indiana,Duke,Kentucky,UConn,Arizona, etc., which would you choose ?

Similar to football I want someone who can keep NJ kids at home and recruit NYC. I am less concerned about where the coach was prior but I think Power 5 experience would be a plus.

Phil Jackson is likely to be fired by the Knicks soon and is roommates with Chip Kelly in a mansion in Princeton.

He is the logical choice. Also, none of the above is true.

I think Hobbs is resistant to the triangle offense so I will have to rule out Jackson. Kelly on the other hand...

We need to pry Sean Miller away from Arizona. He is an East Coast guy and from what I understand his wife hates the desert.

187–59 (.760)at Arizona. No more than 12 losses in any single season after his first season. We can do better.
Current salary is $2.3 Million

Make him the highest paid coach in the land. He can recruit like hell, runs a clean program, and is relatively young. Make that hire and we don't have to worry about not having a relevant BB program for the next 15 years.

Arizona isn't a power probably the next tier of programs though with the Louisville's and UVA's of the world.
