Mullen may win big eventually. But he's not ready yet, and his recruiting says he likely won't be in the immediate future.

They got blown out. 35-17 at halftime, and every time Florida got close enough to do anything Bama promptly put separation in there. Bama has played in this game like 15 times, they were looking ahead to the playoff. Duh.

So Mullen appears to be a top 10 worst case top 15 coach. That’s pretty damn good. You can be a top 15 coach and win big at Florida.

lol I'm glad you agree with me on this issue, but you were calling me stupid in a previous thread. Is everyone stupid but you? Or do we just disagree on some things and agree on others?

That's the standard, right? That's what you have to do to "win big". Going 10-2 isn't good enough at Florida. He knew that when he signed up. Right now he doesn't even have the talent to fend off the random 'up' game by a Texas A&M or LSU. It's not like he went 10-0 then lost only to Alabama.

I realize many have tunnel vision and can only see right now but Georgia is closer to that standard than Florida. Sooner or later, when Saban retires, he's still got to contend with that. Again, when Urban was winning in Florida they were recruiting at a level markedly above what Danny is doing, and that wasn't during the Saban dynasty.

I won't say he'll never do it because outliers happen - LSU 2019, Auburn 2010/2013. But you have to get a little lucky.

I heard Dan lost the top 4 best wide receivers in Fla. to Ala. Haven't verified this.

Oh, it's verified. I linked the list in a previous post. Danny signed the #8 and #9 WRs, but got ravaged by Bama, Clemson and Miami for the top guys. That said, I'm sure the 8 and 9 guys are probably pretty good players in their own right.
