He will get to see Lizak, maybe Milhoff, Cruz, 1st semester, and maybe Shram, Blesser, and Templeman at Reno.

Opportunity is there for him to move up really quickly

I mentioned this a few months ago..... I think Hale has improved tremendously and don't think it's out of the question that he could beat Picc in a wrestle off.....especially with room familiarity.

Just so Kaid doesn't believe either item. Hopefully he will show same the disrespect to Clark as he did to Brewer last year.

I heard great things from the room about Hale and his improvement. I think Pic is #1 and Hale #1A. Just shows how much depth we have in all our weights. Hvy still need to prove himself this season, I think everybody will be keeping a eye on Hvy. If we can score a few points at Nationals at Hvy, could be the difference of winning a team title. Whole lot of top 5 wrestlers on this team, could be 9 AA.

Just messing with you Mike.

This team looks complete. Just top to bottom complete, minus HWT. Even giving I don't count freshmen until they've gone through the grind of a whole season, this team is going to be a handful. Heil is your only "sure fire" win every time, but all the others are just solid as heck.

And they'll be a better dual team than tournament team. Especially if 125 and 133 pan out as expected. I loved Brock's intensity in his few matches, but again I want to see him go a whole season. It's the day-to-day weight cutting and season long grind that's hard to predict on new kids. My thought is he and Picc will do fine, but I've got to see it first.

Chris is the biggest guy officially on staff. I have heard through the grapevine that Caldwell is back in the room, so he is a bit larger than Chris.
We're looking for our heavy weights to start wrestling like 165/174, we have plenty of coaches and AD to show them a few things. Cayle Byers is still in the room and he's about 225 pounder.

Are they going to have an orange/black scrimmage before season begins that General public can attend? I would love to see pic and hale battle along with collica and Martinez. 197 would be fun too.

He may also have some very tough competition for his spot if White is healthy and eligible.

What is the deal with his eligibility? Seems like ti would be pretty cut and dry no? No matter who we send out there at 197 I feel pretty good about it. That statement would have shocked about half way through last season (and probably later than that).

Tier 1 Cox
Tier 2 Pfarr
Tier 10 Everybody else.

White is the one guy I can think of maybe moving into the second tier. Am I alone in thinking how separated the top two are from the field? Cox even further removed from the pack.

If the numbers posted in another thread on this board are accurate, Derek White would have failed to cert at 197, and would have to go 285.

There may be nothing to his eligibility I just don't think I saw where he is for sure eligible. Sometimes these non-major sports have differing transfer rules.

As you said eitther way we have a legitimate AA threat at this weight.

I agree, but think if weigel can make strides on his feet he could close gap with pfarr. If I remember correctly PW rode BP out. It is alot to expect, but PW can go on the mat with anyone.

SHP I do not believe that he certified at 212. He weighed 212# on a particular day. It was not the day he certified. He is a 197 pounder.

That's a fairly negative outlook they give with that #1 ranking.

I agree with them that OhSt and Penn St have more potential but it's also because they have more unknowns. (OhSt more so than PSU)

I do think they are underselling some of the potential we have in our lineup. I think Pic, Brock, Rogers and Schafer will exceed their expected point total and maybe by a significant amount.

I agree, but Flo rankings are purely based on past collegiate results. After a month or so I think PSU will be right up there with us. O am really excited to see how the 4 you mentioned will do. I think Rogers could do a lot at 65.

White is eligible. Got a full release from NU and grades are fine. Made honor roll.
