Flag question, maybe Germans

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but does Mississippi actually have a state flag?

"Even though Mississippi did not legally have an official state flag after 1906, no one seemed to have known it and practically everyone who was interested in such things presumed that it did and continued to fly the flag that was adopted in 1894."

Yep. The 2001 referendum established it as a fact as opposed to it being the flag by custom.

Weird bit of trivia....the 1894 statute sets the dimensions of the Flag to be 2X3:

“One with width two-thirds of its length, with the union square in width, two-thirds of the width of the flag:"

Most flags made today are with a ratio of 3x5, to match the U.S. Flag, which means that most of the MIssissippi State Flags you see are not the proper dimensions. I learned this when I lived in Texas, because their flag is also supposed to be 2X3, because it is comprised of 3 rectangles having dimensions of 1x2..
