I was at the game. UCF was not ready to play. FIU didnt really do anything to deserve to win. UCF has some imposing big athletic bodies, but they didnt play as a cohesive unit and it showed. UCF never landed any knockout blows, despite plenty of chances to do so. The offense looked a lot like the senior year of Kevin Smith. Run into the line, lean forward, gain 4. Run a slant on third down if necessary. They had the ball with a chance to win it, but miscues moved them back out of field goal range. A kid making his first collegiate kick knuckleballed it about 30 yards when he needed 47 yards.

Tulane also got stomped by by Duke. Lost by 30.

FIU is picked 6th in C-USA 3.0.

Its up to the Ponies to have a good showing against Baylor tonight.

Tulane looked liked they might be in contention for the worst team in D1 this year.

I thought UCF looked listless and simply waited around to win until they realized it was too late. O'Leary may be in his last year.

Of course we haven't seen our guys yet, but surely SURELY TU is better than Tulane, even playing on the road. A terrible opening performance by Tulane

At least UConn strayed by D-II Villanova by 5.

A truly BAD start for the American.
