Iowa beat that team 63-0 last year in Champaign. But in my power rankings that you will find on my blog I now have Big Red ahead of Illinois and Rutgers.

Ugly win is still a win. But how can they not have a serviceable back-up kicker. Not asking the guy to boom from 45 plus but being able to hit the chip shots pls

OSU looks nasty but man you never know what you get in a given conference game. They're the better team but upsets happen.

Certainly none of us saw Illinois jumping all over NU to start this game and after that I don't think you believed in your heart 700 yds of offense was in the cards.

Young talent man, they can explode outta nowhere.

It is a step in the right direction. We haven’t had a road win in 2 years. This team is very young in terms of our talent (AM, Wandale, Mo, etc and some of our line). They play like it. Big plays and big mistakes. They have to play thru these mistakes and get better.

700 total yards!! Game shouldn't have even been close!! Clean it up
Eliminate the 3 gifts we gave Illinois, add one of those gifts to our score, and this game is a blowout.

The holding call, if they called it on the correct lineman was completely bogus that killed a drive. The incomplete pass that turned into a fumble is bizarre because referees blew the whistle and were signaling incomplete pass. That should have ended the play when whistle blew because you are to stop on the whistle. And there should have been a targeting call. Yes there should have been a pass interference call on Illinois last play. But if we only would have run the ball up the gut 4 times when 1st and goal at the 1 it should have been game over. That one is on Frost. Other than the that and our play calling on first series of the 3rd qtr, I thought play calling was decent. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've been first and goal at the one and didn't just pound it in. Problem with this time, it would have salted the game away and the line was dominating a worn out dline.

Great to have the win and the kids never gave up. That's huge. Unfortunately we appear to be pretty banged up. How spielman made it out alive is beyond me. Martinez really hung him out there with all the high passes.

We shouldn't have needed to run the ball up the gut 4 times at the 1. Wandale was never down and recovered that ball in the endzone. That should have been ruled a touchdown but they didn't review that part of the play for some dumb reason.

I also look at it as getting that monkey of our back finally winning a road game especially when we lost to Colorado earlier..

Should have been 49-38 if SF just makes 2AM sneak it in with that line being decimated in the fourth quarter..

I think it would be pretty funny if ABC/ESPN, as Nebraska moves into Ohio State territory on Saturday, that they place that little "FG Target Line" graphic on the 3-yard line.

"This is the established range of the Nebraska field goal kickers."

I laugh, but put a healthy Pickering in the OT against Colorado, and that game likely goes to double OT, and we may really be rated higher than we deserve to be.
