And my wife and I saw Ex Machina yesterday afternoon......a fascinating flick on which we just kind-of took a flyer (and I'm glad we did). I read one review which said the less you know about this movie, the better (and I totally agree).

Incidentally, if you're interested in seeing the young lady/robot (briefly) without clothes, the last 15 or so minutes are reason enough to buy a ticket. Meanwhile, note this same Swedish fox is cast as the female lead in the late summer's The Man from U.N.C.L.E remake.

Plan on seeing that as well here soon. Looks fantastic, and it does seem like a movie where you don't want to know what's going to happen.

All I'll say is the flick has eerie characters......though, for all intents and purposes, there are only four in the entire film.....in a eerie setting; if that sounds like your cup of tea, definitely go see it.

And not that it matters, but we saw it at a theater known for running indie (and foreign language) films rather than at a typical suburban megaplex, and I wasn't at all familiar with any of the actors. So, I was actually quite surprised to see it wasn't an independent film at all, but rather one released by Universal.

The only other comment I'll make is that I found the ending something less than totally satisfying personally; but certainly not to an extent that I'd recommend against seeing it

Agree, excellent sci fi flick of the classic, "golden age" of science fiction type.
