I try to watch some highlights of every person we are “involved with” in the portal.

Just watched Terrence Brown’s…jumped off the screen more than anyone else I’ve watched this offseason. Dynamic bucket getter. Shot clock down to 5, throw the grenade to him kind of guy. All 3 levels. Would actually be very excited about that get if it happens

And I gotta say, was watching the tape, and I usually try to comp players to each other, and he reminds me a ton of Maleek Thomas.

Can’t shrug off 19ppg scorers out of the Big 12. He finishes well at the rim. He scored between 16-30 against almost every team in the Big 12. I’d take him for sure. If he had more help he could be a very quality player.

He was 10/20 FG for 26/7/3 against Arizona, he has 22 against BYU, 33 against Kansas State, 20 Oklahoma State, 26 against TCU, 16 Kansas, 18 ISU, 21 UCF, 26 Colorado, 22 Cincinnati, 16 Baylor, 21 Washington, 15 Ole Miss. We are going to act like we couldn’t use a guy like this who can score like that against major competition on a team that was garbage? He obviously has flaws like every other player still in college. He seems like a good transfer option though.

He seems like exactly the type guy St. John’s, Michigan, Zona, Kansas, or Texas Tech would pick up and have him be a big part of a great team.

All the internet UK "experts" say no...20 points per game isn't good enough. Guess we need to pass...

He's good and the kind of player that can really shine when surrounded by better teammates and gets coached up by an elite coaching staff. Look at the improvements those guys on Michigan went through - look at what UConn does with guys like this.

Honestly, my concern is this: Can Mark Pope and his staff blend a guy like this into the team and then coach him up?

One of the weak points this season was guard penetration. If we can get a pg who can get into the lane consistently it would help CC and any other outside shooter. we could use two of these type players.

I would take this guy in a heartbeat but he's not a great shooter and if you pair him with Diallo or Thomas, suddenly your backcourt can't shoot. Add in Moreno who is no threat either and once again, you have 3 out of 5 positions that can't shoot. Does that work in a Pope offense?

LMAO looks damn good to me! Excellent feel for the game and can get to the bucket at will. Great use of the pump fake. EDIT: Averages almost 4 assists per game as a combo guard.
You could definitely slide him to the point in a pinch.
His handle is on a completely different level than Jasper's.

Hopefully we get a 4 that can shoot and you still have Kam and Chandler(maybe) who would benefit from the paint touches that Diallo and Brown would get.
I think Diallo and Brown could offset their lack of shooting with the ability to finish in traffic and get to the line.

Brown is slightly below avg for sure, but this last season, he shot 32.7% from the perimeter. I was curious about how that compares to former UK players. That's just a shade below Cason Wallace when he was at UK, and I don't remember anyone considering him a terrible threat from the perimeter.

With Brown's ability to attack off the bounce, hitting approx 1/3 of his perimeter shots wouldn't be too bad. Don't get me wrong, if he was a 40% 3pt threat, that would be awesome...just saying his shooting wasn't as bad as I thought.

Someone else mentioned Lamont Butler as having similar 3pt shooting percentages but whose primary strength was attacking off the bounce, so that may be a better comparison offensively...especially considering Brown also averaged almost 4 assists/per game, which is also comparable to Butler's 4.3 APG.

Defensively, I won't make that comparison b/c Butler was special there.
