A wrestler and showman. Lots of baggage and not a great teammate. Definitely won’t help NU image even if he does help winning %.
But why with the image? I know he is a show boater and a talker. But what is the baggage he has. Like legal problems or what? I honestly don’t know.
there are of course many layers to this incident. and there are also many other layers to folks speaking out online regarding Ferrari. then there was the episode at the Soldier Salute

Any rumors on a transfer to replace Pinto at 174? Or an underclassman / incoming recruit the plan? If we can get a good replacement at 174, we should challenge again in the NCAAs.

Yikes. I didn't know this guy had that kind of baggage. I hope Manning has weighed the potential pitfalls of this.
Most likely, Ferrari had to cut weight to get to 197, so his "natural" weight is somewhere around 215. He is very quick and has good strength, so the transition to HWT shouldn't be too difficult. Especially if he can put on a little bit of good weight. He should be much quicker than guys at the maximum 285 limit and still be strong enough against the polar bears of the weight class. Ferrari may have to adjust his wrestling style a little bit because of that. I would label him as a "poor man's" Gable Steveson at this point. Should earn AA status but not predicting him as a national champion caliber yet. He is a significant upgrade to Harley, even if undersized a bit at the start of the season. (I liked Harley as he was a tough competitor, but he doesn't have the total package of strength and speed of Ferrari).
Hendrickson, Steveson, and Kirkvliet all exhausted their eligibility, apparently? I don't remember any others in 2025 that could compete with those 3 guys, so Ferrari starting at #1 makes sense. Maybe he will be national champ!!!
