Pikiell is the real deal. Dude can coach and, IMO, will be a strong recruiter also.

Last night's game was tough to watch early on, but to show that we will not quit and keep playing hard will give recruits reason to believe in Rutgers hoops. Add the new practice facility to the mix and we've got a good thing brewing.

That's the point the announcers, who were not familiar with 2016-17 Rutgers kept making. This team plays hard, and though they have offensive shortcomings that will plague us all year, they deserve our absolute support. We know the shortcomings the staff perceives will be addressed in recruiting. And that most of this team will be back next year, with a potential new bomber in Geo Baker. Have not felt this good about the team in maybe a decade.

Finally have the right coach in place so given some continuity we will be fine going forward. He knows what this team needs and will be super aggressive in recruiting. I love his sense of urgency!

watching what Buzz Williams Virginia Tech team is doing against Duke I think/ hope coach Pikiell can emulate. Buzz took over a really bad VT team and went 11-22 his first year. Last year 20-15 w/ an NIT invite and this year is 11-1 and beating Duke and looking like an NCAA bound team. Recruiting has also gotten better over time and now has two top 100 players.

Very good coach, an AD who wants the hoops program to succeed and a dormant but rabid fanbase that is ready to pack the RAC.

It's all up to Pike to recruit now.

A big factor that always killed us in the past were transfers. I'm not talking about the guys who transfer down due to being overmatched, but the guys who are starters/big minute role players who left for various reasons. If Pike can keep everyone happy with a strong rotation, I see no reason that this should be an issue going forward and that is a HUGE thing.
