One of my favorite memories is in the first Regional hosted while the Bosh was still undergoing renovations. I was just getting started with Inside Carolina during my rookie season while, UNC faced off against Coastal Carolina on a brutally hot day where the Chanticleers committed at least 5 errors in the game.

No one was asking any questions about the defensive implosion in the post game, so I asked my first Regional question to Coach Gilmore about his impression of the infield defense, when catcher Dock Doyle piped in, "Dude, did you even watch the game."

Everyone got a good chuckle and the next week the 2008 Diamond Heels hosted the Cary Super Regional. I don't miss the drive over to Cary whatsoever. I did enjoy watching Doyle's very short pro career, with an interesting missing glove conundrum and laughed every time I saw an update about him.

What is one of your favorite moments watching the Diamond Heels?

Flack has to be up there.....I remember the Yankees coming to town back in the day. Crazy seeing those legends of childhood in person...

...but, and I've been around - not sure the LSU games - and definitely the final one - in the regional in 2024 are the top.....pure insanity in the Bosh. Those last outs by Pence against all the LSU studs.......LSU might be on a three peat heater if not for Dalton and crew....the atmosphere was electric for sure. Still think he K'd Bear to end it.....but I digress....lol

We played Coastal in the Super Regional that year. While I didn't pass out in the heat like I did in the first game of the Super this year, I can't recall any UNC game in any sport that felt hotter in the stands.

The LSU game last year, the 18 inning game in the ACC tourney against the wolpfack in 2013, and the wild 13 inning game the following weekend against FAU to win the regional top my list of games that I attended in person. I might have to add Gallaher's walk-off grand slam to win against LIU.

In the FAU game, we allowed 6 runs in the 9th to blow a 4 run lead, scored 2 in the bottom of the inning to tie it, gave up 3 in the 12, rallied for 3 in the bottom, and then won it on a based load single in the bottom of the 13th.

Best single baseball game I’ve ever seen at the Bosh was the winner-take-all game against FAU in 2013. Not sure I’ve ever seen a better baseball game period.

Most fun I’ve ever had at the Bosh was the entire 2024 regional weekend against LSU. That was big time.

My favorite (or not) Carolina Baseball memory, was playing a camp event at Carolina the summer before my senior year of high school where I threw 7 innings of 1 hit baseball while striking out 2 (prominent) would be Heels 6 combined times and Coach Fox looking me dead in my eyes and telling me that he likes ne but I just wasn’t good enough to play for him. In hindsight after going else where, he probably wasn’t wrong. Lol

A selfish answer would be getting to throw out the first pitch at a UNC game two years ago. At 69 years old, I hadn't thrown a baseball in many years, and I was terrified of embarrassing myself, so I found an old baseball at home, and about a week before the game, I went to a local softball field, walked off approximately 60 feet, and started throwing. My first pitch was at least 5 feet short and 5 feet wide of the plate. I threw 20-25 pitches for 3 days, and got to where I felt confident enough to take the mound. While my pitch was low, it did go over the plate, so I was thrilled with the result.

Seeing Vance hitting a walk off home run and then take the first pitch of the following game out against WVU last year was pretty cool.

There can’t be many instances of a college or professional player hitting home runs on back to back pitches against the same team in the same park.

Getting tickets to the WVU series WELL below market and taking my wife to her first Diamond Heels game(s). Capped off by the game two win which meant I didn’t have to spring for the third game!

A memory reinforced by the Zona series this season!

Mine has to be Andrew Carrigan striking out the last south Carolina batter at the Bosh. I can't imagine i have ever heard the Bosh that loud for the first two outs, then his 3rd out strikeout was insane!!! Great team that year, players, coaches & parents.

Kind of a silly one but I barehanded a foul ball to save my mom from getting hit in the head in maybe 2012 or 2013 before they extended the nets down the baselines

I actually had a heat stroke during one of those games. I was in my third trimester at the time, so it was a little scary, but I ended up giving birth a few months later to a healthy little girl. The same girl who went with me to Omaha last year, to almost every game at the Bosh this year, and to a lot of away series. She obviously knew the Diamond Heels were a special group very early on!

I have to say my favorite memory was Game 1 in Omaha last year against UVA. We were so lucky to have seats around the players families, so hi fiving Vance’s mom and celebrating with all of them was just so incredibly cool.

I was there for Colin Moran’s cycle. Couldn’t believe he had the wheels for a triple.

The Tuscaloosa Super Regional in 2006--by far--was the best.

A remarkable experience: The exact moment that "the Tide turned" for Carolina Baseball in this century.

Many fans were in Starkville for the 2004 Regionals, which the Tar Heels won. Very few went to Florida in 2005 for the Regional, and, based on the result, the disinterest was warranted.

But those of us who soldiered on to Alabama in 2006 for that Super Regional saw everything Coach Fox had been building come into full bloom. In Fox's sixth year, Carolina had "arrived."

Enjoying games in the old Bosh in the early 90s as a student; living 2 blocks from the CWS stadium and the Heels rolling into town with the team hotel in the parking lot across from my loft. Also stayed in the team hotel a couple years ago and riding in the elevator with some of the players and got a photo with Bubba.

A random one that I love watching over and over…

…Holby’s (Brian Holberton’s) game-tying HR against Clemson in the ACCT. Two outs, bottom of the ninth…

Grintz with pinch hit triple to beat NC State.

Sabato hitting a HR that landed by the crooked pine tree behind the parking lot against Notre Dame.

Osuna hitting one over the batters eye against UNCW.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Tim Federowicz's grand slam in the top of the ninth inning Friday night sent North Carolina to a 7-3 victory over LSU in a College World Series elimination game disrupted twice by rain in two days.

FAU 2013 was great. Any game vs NC state from 2013-2015 was amazing. Last years Chapel Thrill run was magical. 2025 was setting up to be “the” run and then suddenly came to screeching halt, I will never get over those last two games.
