Fanbase Size?

I don't know the methodology behind how the size of the fanbases were calculated or how accurate it might be. This article from an Ohio State promotion claims that (not surprising) Ohio State is number 1 in terms of fanbase size. Nebraska is NOT included in this list but quite surprising schools like Oregon (relatively high in the rankings) and Syracuse are included. Lots of B1G and SEC teams (not surprising). So FWIW:

Doesn't really surprise me. Almost everyone on that list has at least one major metroplex to boost those numbers with t shirt fans. Auburn really the only one that seems a little high to me.

I second guess their decision to place Ohio State higher than Notre Dame. There are a lot of Catholics who still root for Notre Dame.

Agreed - Ohio State doesn't have the truly national fanbase that Notre Dame has - there's a reason why Notre Dame is the only team (professional or college) to have all their games broadcast nationally on the radio and to have all their home games broadcast nationally on television (on NBC).

I’m always running in to Q’s fans everywhere I go. Oh wait. Never do I run in to Q’s. I even have friends that graduated from their and are big sports fans and I never hear them talk Orangeman unless it’s basketball.

An estimated 3.45 MM fan base but yet they can’t sell-out their little 49k stadium. They have such a large fan base that they keep shrinking their capacity.

Was this analysis done by Dominion Voting Systems?

I don't know where they are getting their numbers but they aren't credible. Wisconsin doesn't have twice the fanbase size of Nebraska unless most Wisconsin fans never watch Wisconsin football on TV. Wisconsin Football TV ratings are not on par with Nebraska's. Wisconsin is on par with Iowa and UCLA. Nebraska is on par with USC and Florida State.

FWIW Michigan State on the other hand actually has a surprisingly large fanbase though.
