Are Issa Thiam & Niem Stevenson expecting to sign between 11 - 18 Nov?

Did Stevenson's interest in playing for Rutgers play a role in Parker's decision?

JuCo players don't sign a NLI @RU_WL

Junior College players, Smith must graduate with at least a 2.5 grade point average. That is the minimum GPA required by the NCAA for a junior college transfer. As fall semester grades come in, NCAA coaches start getting better barometer of where their JuCo targets are academically then follow up during the spring semester to see where the player might be in the classroom and on the court. Most guys stay on course to meet the minimum NCAA requirement.

Thanks Russ. I believe that Niem Stevenson is a mid year transfer. He played his 1st year & sat out last year. Based on what I've read, Stevenson is a tremendous scorer/shooter with good size at the 2G. The current RU team needs shooters.

You can see that EJ is selectively trying to upgrade athleticism and shooting skills.

I saw Stevenson with Faith Baptist (Brandon, Fla.) in the 2012-2013 season. He did most of his damage in transition back then. Had good body control but his jumper ran hot or cold beyond 12 feet. His ball handling needed much improvement against any type of defensive pressure. Granted this was 2-3 years ago, so hopefully he has improved.
