I doubt anybody was watching the Florida NIT game last night...during the second half subject of UF's arena makeover came up, they were showing images of how it will look, was beautiful of course. the ESPN announcer said (paraphrasing) "Top notch facilities are a must. Nearly every school has them and the recruits expect to see them. They will not be the reason a kid commits, however it's unacceptable for the facilities to be the reason he doesn't commit."

By now Rutgers knows what is needed .The problem is finding the money in a timely fashion.

I went to the game. I didn't see the O dome improvements but they have been planned for a few years and needed.

What depressed me was me wondering if we could beat UNF. They have a nice little program. NCAA's and NIT last 2 years. They really play as a team.

I concluded we probably have slightly better talent but they play much better team basketball with way under recruited kids. So much is coaching and they have a good one right now.

As per reports Hobbs guaranteed the facilities upgrades to Hurley. Were those details ever public? I would expect any new coach to be hesitant about this job if the timeline was something like 4-5 years out. A new HC at RU has to sell a 2 yr new facilities plan on the recruiting trail to attract players ASAP.
