One thing to possibly panic about though. Does anybody know if Leach has ever gotten receivers involved in the running game? Or ran anywhere other than straight ahead? I'm kinda surprised we ran as much as we did tonight but I think it was only two different plays that were run over and over.

It's at this point I would remind you that Arkansas just snapped a 20 game SEC losing streak. Against us. They probably start a new one next week.

There's no excuse for this. They outcoached us and kicked our asses. And we deserve every bit of ridicule we're gonna get for it.

Agreed. This was 17ing shameful.

Got the ******* ball 4 ******* times with a chance to tie in the 4th quarter and didn’t do **** but give it back to them.

...Against the worst team in the SEC.

And the offense is supposed to be the strength of this team, well 17 that, 17 you, 17 me, and 17 everybody.

The pick 6 was LITERALLY the difference in the game

We scored 14 points. The offensive guru scored 14 against the second worst defense he'll face. I think people are probably right to be pretty upset. We deserve to be mocked and Leach is the exposed fraud until proven otherwise. Don't like it? He's more than welcome to prove everyone wrong.

They had the plan on defense. All you had to do was dink and dunk them to death. Couldn't execute when you absolutely had to and turned the ball over way to many times. If you play a clean game you win by at least 2 touchdowns. I think KJ can clean some stuff up. I would like to see some variety in the running game. I know we won't run much but just one or two wrinkles here and there would be nice.

LITERALLY he says.....Was it LITERALLY the difference in the game??.....I mean LITERALLY speaking that it. Could be it was just the difference in the game and not the LITERAL difference. Maybe log off and get back to planning your sweet 16. Literally....

I shouldn't have hit enter on that....I apologize. Just have an issue with that word being used waaaay too much these days. I'm sorry.

Hey, how much do you follow Miss State sports?
2nd generation, my son is third generation. I've been wrapped up in it since the late 70s. I have been a season ticket holder sporadically in football over that time. I went to a lot more. In basketball my Dad and I held them continuously from 1989 till the year before we fired Stans. My Dad was at MSU with Jackie Parker. I was at MSU with Jonnie Cooks and John Bond That good enough for you junior?

Also, everybody was praising us because we beat LSU last week. Well, 17 that. That was last 17ing week.

Naaa, it's not good enough for me Senior....I didn't ask how long you'd been following. I asked how much you followed. What I meant and should have asked was how close you'd followed Miss State sports? Cause the name is Leach not Leech. Come on Sr. get in the game or go to the house....

So you know, you're probably a decade or less older than me....so I'm not some smartass young a-hole. I'm an old *** a-hole. But I still say get in the game or go to the house...

It's a common name where I'm from, they spell it the way I did, I think. Interesting that your rebuttal to that centered on SPELLING. I was on the sidelines with a camera when Orlando Lundie beat a Top 10 LSU team. Were you even a gleam in your Daddy's eye then? That one was glorious. Me and several other MSU students either covering or working the game spent most of that one standing in front of the LSU section. We got pelted with Sugar Cubes much of the game. They were headed to the Sugar Bowl if they won. When we beat them we let them have it, and got pelted with BAGS of sugar in return. Good times. I think they went to NOLA anyway but at the time we thought we had stopped them. We finished 3-8 I think.

That I remember that as a good time is an example of how far we have come.

We're a lot closer in age than a decade.
I'm 56, MSU '81.Dad was '55 or so. Son was '19. I knew a few folks back then from the Delta, Greenwood,Tchula, and Drew come to mind. I had never heard of Itta Bena back then. The point is I've been wrapped up in MSU sports since the mid-late 70s. I still have the rags of an old Dave Marler tear away Jersey, and an original Bull Dawg Blitz poster.

Its simple, we lost our best player on the 3rd play. Dylan did great but he isnt kylin. Once he went out they dared us to go underneath. We could have still done that, but we never seemed to hit guys in stride consistently. Kylin would have at the minimum gotten us a couple of extra first downs though. I bet kj learns a zone attack this week.

Uh, we went 4-7!
Don’t short us a W in the history books please, they are hard enough to come by.
But that November day at Scott Field was a rare good day in those days of MSU football.
