that the son of a VP sits on the board of a foreign natural gas company?

My father refused to purchase a high end luxury car (despite me and my brothers begging), because it “didn’t look right” for a community bank President to ride around town in an expensive car. He was honest, and ran the bank honestly, always investing in community efforts and orgs. He deserved some swank.

The Clinton Foundation - Biden’s son. Why do high ranking Democrats allow these situations to occur - like the thread title says, even if there isn’t corruption it opens up the ability for accusations to destroy political capital.

Some big a$$ swanky cars these jags are riding around in, and the Democratic Party is suffering from it, imo.

Politicians, for the most part, are always corrupt. Same is true with the wealthiest people. They have the holier than thou attitude. I think whatever Trump may or may not be doing, is really nothing different than most of these politicians do. Social media is just making it easier to expose people for their wrong doings, or at best, make it easier to toss out false claims, allowing the naive to run with it.

Regardless of all what side of the political spectrum you reside these days, you're fvcked, because I honestly don't see people being able to govern any longer. It's all about gotcha moments. Hopefully, something will change, but you know if a Democrat is elected President in 2020, the Republicans will go all out to destroy that person.

After the last 3 years? They’d be perfectly justified in doing so.

Yes, and they most certainly will. I just think our political system is a hot pile of **** these days, and I don't see any changes to the current disdain for one another ever getting better. Likely, it will take another dramatic event, like a 911, to bring people back together, but even something like that seems to have a short life cycle.
