How come I only see a thread of how much we miss when we lose!! I believe we do not miss him at all. Yeboah hs been excellent on the boards the offense flows much better without him(although I think we could get the offensive sets better but that’s another topic) no more give it to Eugene down low and watch him hold for a long time

Because it’s human nature to focus on the negative. I know we probably couldn’t have both guys, but I think that would be a good think. These games when Myles gets in foul trouble are instances where we could use his size and leadership. Fantastic win yesterday. Now keep it going

Funny how you didnt make this thread when we we're getting spanked by Pitt & Mich st.. We could have used EO in both of those games - when we were playing soft and stagnant. I love Yeboah but we don't know yet if he can do what Eugene can do. Their will be nights when shots aren't falling and this team starts to wavier. That's when we saw Gene step up and get those tough AND 1's & take those big charges and spark belief into his teammates. We really have fans that don't understand why Eugene was a big loss lol

Yeboah of today is better than Yeboah in game 1. It’s an even swap today, but it took time to get to this point.

If you hear anyone say, Seton Hall lost because they didn’t have their full squad, I guess we could say the same since we didn’t have Eugene who.

They expect to have those players back.

Different. They didn’t have their top two players who are actually part of their team, who have been with the team all season, and who they expect to have back.

True. But it was when Powell sat that SHU made a little run at the end of the half. I think they were down 18 or 20 pts when Powell was in.

Granted, no way to know what happens in the second half, but Powell was 3-9 for 6 pts in 15 min.

When Eugene was pushed he sometimes got tunnel vision and tried to do everything himself crashing towards the rim. When yeboah is pushed he puts up a three.

Disagree. I was at the opener and Yeboah was great. If you want to say Pike noticed and he's getting more opportunities now, fine. But he's been solid since day 1.

:ThumbsUp and I think he could have been used more yesterday. At 12 up I was starting to get a bit nervous...then pike put Baker and Yaboah back in and solidified the play.

Its clear why just made captain.

Someone with more time than me could probably show his impact per minute over time. I think he went from decent to very good.

Eugene could take over a game. Akwasi not so much. I'd still rather have Eugene playing with Ron H and company. Shaq doesnt give us a strong presence underneath. Myles J is still learning and has huge upside. Omoruyi was a warrior under the boards and would have helped this team as well. Akwasi is a nice player and plays a different position. Can't really compare the two.

I think we will be better the rest of this season with Yeboah than if we replaced him with Eugene. But I would have preferred having both on the team.

It's not black or white... Eugene was critical in some games when shots weren't falling and we needed a guy with old man post moves to get higher percentage looks. Some games are much better suited to Yeboah in keeping the offense moving. Would have loved EO against Pitt. But let's ride this wave and enjoy our year with Yeboah

You have fans of other B1G teams refusing to give Rutgers any credit. PSU and Purdue fans are leading the charge on Rutgers will be Rutgers. Wisconsin fans are on board with us, and so are a lot of Iowa fans. They think Rutgers can do damage in the B1G because of the defense and size problem. They believe Rutgers' size forces teams to junk a traditional lineup. There are a few Iowa fans in disbelief of us since last year, so they continue to hate.

Of course RU is better with Eugene. The only possible way that's not true is if he would have been too injured to play.

Once a player leaves, it's just a matter of time before this board starts the addition by subtraction posts. It's what this board does best.

Now, yesterday was a great win. But for some reason fans just want to keep posting this stuff.

There were also times that you didn’t even know Eugene who was in the game.
