Unfortunately, not our own Caleb Tiernan. But, they project 3 other Calebs to be taken in the first round!

This is surely going to be a banner year for Calebs in the draft. (And that's to say nothing of the Kalebs!)

Some mocks have our own Caleb as a late fist round draft pick. One had him to the Patriots, which would be really nice.

Hope he lands with a winner. It sucks that Skoronski is stuck on the Titans with a QB who looks like a likely bust (Ward).

soon we will have 3, perhaps even 4, Wildcats playing OL in the league.
O-Line has been where the NU football stardom has really been over the years. The recent first rounders now in the League, but before that, Chris Hinton long-time star, Jack Rudnay - multiple pro-bowler at center for the Chiefs, Cas Banascek multiple pro bowler back in the 60s. Long careers for Streif and O'Dwyer.

And 2-time Super Bowl winner Trai Essex....

Don't forget that guy named Blake.

Ike Ndukwe played in the NFL for years and now has a role in the Lions organization, doing work on the fan experience front.

Matt Ulrich (RIP) also won a Super Bowl with the Colts.

Austin King was a center for a few years and is now coaching on the Broncos with Strief & Ayeni.

It is sad what happened to the OL under Fitz. We had some exceptional linemen over the years but it was a detrimental unit compared to the squads under Barnett, Walker, and now Braun…

It looks like Tiernan might project as a guard similar to Skoronski, after his arm length and wing span were “too short”.

Then again, the Patriots may be negging him to drop his draft value. 🤷‍♂️

T/G Caleb Tiernan, Northwestern (Consensus Ranking: 65)
Along with Dunker, Tiernan is another college tackle who could move inside to guard at the next level. The Northwestern product measured in with 32 ¼" arms and a 79.5" wingspan at the combine, which puts him below the tackle threshold. Although he didn't run the 40-yard dash, Tiernan's jumps were great (35.5" vert, 98th percentile at OG) and he looked good going through drill work. On film, Tiernan looks like a refined prospect with smooth footwork, a stout anchor, and great hand-fighting skill. His measurables might not allow him to stick at tackle, but he could probably play tackle in a pinch or be a starting guard. Tiernan could be a day-two target for the Patriots as a possible tackle-guard flex who could settle at left guard.”

A second round immediate starting guard who is capable of being a backup tackle is a pretty good get!
