This is beyond pathetic. We are a laughingstock among laughingstock. If anybody is left in our basketball fanbase I urge you to let Hobbs know how you feel. We need a fresh start. Eddie is a loyal son but everyone knows this will never workout

At this point can anyone honestly see ANY scenario where Jordan returns next season? I think he is a lock to be removed. Hopefully we can make an Ash like hire for hoops.

Not everyone!
We still have to hear from our friend from OH.
When he says it's over, it will truly be over.
(We will welcome him with open arms. After all, we all want a winning program. No doubt about that.)

As with all prospective coaching changes, it will work itself out. Rarely is a coach fired too early or too late. When it's time it's time

Eddie did a good job of hiring a staff of nobodies. If he goes before the end of the season, and you're Hobbs, do you want Shoes, Dalip or Van as an interim HC? What a fuster ...

He was there. He's at most games (I can't think of one he missed).

I was a Julie Hermann fan, but I have to give Hobbs credit. He has spent more time in the past 6 weeks at the RAC hospitality area, interacting with BB donors, than JH did in 3 years.

Hopefully before what talent we have transfers out.

Although not ideal, I'd be ok with the entire team transferring out as long as Eddie is gone. Every year he is here is another year we prolong the inevitable.

Does it matter? Have water boy coach. Results are the same.

While this is true at most schools, RU traditionally needs an "event" such as chucking basketballs at players or getting into an embarrassing confrontation with the Pitt baseball coach or a traveling in a snowstorm or naked FTs before a coaching change is made.

He needs to start ironing out a plan for a settlement with Eddie very soon and then last week of the season announce parting of ways so he can get a head start on hiring a new guy

There always is the financial situation at Rutgers which would include paying years four and five on Jordan's contract plus paying for a new coach. The need is there but I don't know about the will .

Love Eddie and thankful

Yes that is correct

He took the job when really no one wanted it at our budget

he transitioned the program from the depthse of the rice scandal when we were a couple more transfers from playing walkons as starters

But it's time to move on...absolutely time

We are getting a new hoops facility and need a fresh start with someone who is ready to work 16 hours a day

There is something to build off for the next guy if there are no transfers

Time to move on

Disagree about no one else wanting the job. $1MM per, we weren't hiring Calipari, but there was absolute interest and options of people who likely would deliver much better results than the sh*tshow of a product put on the court now.

This is year 3. Not year1.

That's because Hobbs is a real P5 AD, not an AD poser.

The Julie shrine builders should come clean at some point and make an act of contrition to cleanse their sins. lol

Exactly, EJ treats this as a 37.5 hours/week university job. Players see that.

Eddies didn't prevent us from anything. We kept Cox and Macon to field a team it had nothing to do with Jordan.

Name one HC who would take a job without wanting his own assistants.

Any HC in 2013 would have us at this place. Look at Jordan's resume here. We could name 1,000 coaches who could win 10 games
