That's usually the way it works the school will hire a coach that can coach but must be able to fill a position in the school system.I agree, I do think the Football coach should be a teacher if at all possible.
Yes but smaller schools can face real challenges when the coach that resigns does not leave the school as a teacher. Plus finding a coach that can fill a non-PE job is also tough. That's usually the way it works the school will hire a coach that can coach but must be able to fill a position in the school system.
Very well known coach in eastern NC and SC has submitted his requests to get Elkin competitive again. An enormous amount of Grass Roots support. 2nd hand info, but my information comes from somebody who should know. But you never know. :He is an alum
That would be a disaster!Very well known coach in eastern NC and SC has submitted his requests to get Elkin competitive again. An enormous amount of Grass Roots support. 2nd hand info, but my information comes from somebody who should know. But you never know. :He is an alum
Why would it be a disaster.? Maybe because nobody wants to work hard? That would be a disaster!
I was a couple of years behind him at Elkin Never met anyone with more Elkin pride. Followed his career, amazing. Old School. Players love him and and he fights for his players and love them If it happens, a Hurricane 5 will hit these boys. I said this would get interesting.
They will have a tough time. They have good looking kids but there is no toughness. Every sport they have stinks. Including men and women's sports. It's sad. That it has become a laughing stock. A once proud program with tough, fast, strong kids, is awful. I love his interviews. You don't lift you don't play. I hope he can fix it if he gets it. Although I would not put much stock in him getting hired. Elkin is soft. The school admins don't want football to dominate. As it should. It is the catalyst for all the other sports. It sets the tone.I was a couple of years behind him at Elkin Never met anyone with more Elkin pride. Followed his career, amazing. Old School. Dennis Stokes, he was a Elkin Graduate? I know for years he has been on Staff at Eastern Alamance, North Iredell, and Lake Norman. He is currently in SC, but can't remember where on staff.
You obviously don't know what a good coach is. Sorry he would be a terrible idea. What is fort Mill now? Think they've lost seven or more games every year since those guys have been there.Dennis Stokes, he was a Elkin Graduate? That is true but I think that they have some people who want shy away from a coach who has to be tough. That's what they need. It's going to take a while for it to get better. Because they got some thin skins around there.Current school board probably won't help matters. They've already proven they like to interject in coaching decisions and it bit them in the hand. I'm sure at least one will try and make his opinion felt.
That whole of coaches was at Lake Norman. Not sure I would give them a great big thumbs up.You obviously don't know what a good coach is. Sorry he would be a terrible idea. What is fort Mill now? Think they've lost seven or more games every year since those guys have been there.
The best coach for that Elkin job if it was from the bears staff would be one of those two EW graduates that coached on the offensive side of the ball. The son of a great coach did a really good job at Reidsville this year. Maybe the same would work for Elkin.
Someone be the first to spill the beans before they explode ! LOL
