I too am hoping that Eddie and RU can do better next year. It would be nice if somehow we could win 15 or 16 games but I know that will be difficult to do. I'm hoping that Foreman and Williams can improve a lot and that Diallo, both Johnsons, Goode and Sanders can give us much more depth and more options for next year.

Not a bad message but EJ has to get more than 10 wins next year. If he gets more than 15, we may think he over achieved. Wins and losses matter. If theres more than 5-6 blowouts that's bad.

Will be interesting to see what style of play Eddie implements for next years team.

I personally would like to see strong fundamentals, with a mixing defense that is attack oriented. Some pressing and trapping with hard nosed man to man play.

On offense run when we can, good spacing, and team oriented.

This style would at least be entertaining and would get the crowd back into it.

Mad, no doubt.

I'd like to see good effort on defense. Not looking for perfection but people putting in mental and physical effort to stop their opponent 80% of the time. To think you get a 100% is perfection, and that's hard to ask from Rutgers Basketball.

On offense, space, team playing for each other and not looking to get "their" shots but shots that make sense and are open.

One thing about Bishop Daniels is that he knows where his shots are supposed to come from, but he forces it and thinks its an end all be all. This is where my shot has to be! If it's not there, pass it up. Re set. If he can make a better pass, use his energy well, we're a better team next season. We don't know what Sanders will bring, but we do know where some of our players are.

Hope in Williams, Foreman, Lewis, Daniels, Etou. Have yet to see the rest at college level.

I am very interested to see what happens next year. For the past few weeks Eddie has been kind of dropping hints about how things will be different next year. I hope he is right. Things need to be different. I think maybe at times he felt he needed to bend what he wanted to the players on the team. Next year's team needs to be in Eddie's image and play the game the way he wants it played. If we can get a team that plays a coherent system and plays hard every single game, that will be a big step in the right direction. Then EJ needs to work his recruiting magic.

At the same time, it is important for players to have an easy system. Nothing like Princeton offense, Triangle offense needs to be thrown around. Teach the skills that develop that offense. Don't make it seem like a dang Physics class!

Next year? Worse record. More interesting. If everyone stays and is eligible. Nine man rotation with Daniels at the 1 and 2, R Johnson at the 2 and 3.

OK, season is over, so the glass is now officially half full for 15-16. Can we dream that Eddie finds his teaching chops, kids listen, and a couple kids rediscover their strokes? Bonus would be if someone (Okoro?) would step up and be a D specialist. This is a roster that could really use a summer tour overseas to bond.

Tough to have faith when in year 2 with most of his roster he can't get them to get thru picks, close out on shooters, make hard cuts, and sprint back on defense. There was very little consequence to lackadasical play. I find it a stretch that overnight he is going to change.

Agree. It can't happen overnight. Progress is all that should be expected. Hopefully we will see some.

Jordan has stated time and again the main problem is that the team doesn't score enough points.Talented players have that skillset while complementary players spend most of their careers sitting on the bench.The nightmare at Rutgers is that regardless of league membership Rutgers has failed to upgrade their recruiting where they could actually compete in the Big East,AAC and now the B1G.The difficulty right now is even defeating MAAC opponents which just reinforces the notion that Rutgers is unprepared for B1G level competition.

I saw Michigan beat us...with basically the 2nd string due to injuries and a bunch of gangley white guys(of which I am one)
ACTUALLY cut to the basket and the PG
ACTUALLY hit them in stride
and they made basket after basket after basket

They new the fundeMENTALS and they used them

One of the best way to get a player to listen and to pay attention is by yanking him to the bench. Eddie couldn't do much of that this year. Assuming that most players will stay, Eddie will have a full capable roster next season. He has to find a way to improve in win column.

With a full roster and at least 5 guards we should be able to turn up the pressure a bit. I myself would like to see us press and trap more and make the game go at a faster pace. Our shooters must make open jumpers next year. Hopefully Goode, Williams, Sanders and Johnson can do this.

I saw every one of Jordans home games, including every game everywhere on the road to and including the final 4. He is such a great guy how can you not hope for him to succeed for RU and himself. That said, I just don't see much talent coming in next year, and I am pretty pessimistic about the team for next year. I need something to get me optimistic. A few good signings, anything.

But there is talent coming in. A 4 star PG and a shot blocking 6'9 center for starters. For me its more about Eddie getting his kids to buy into his system.
