I like sitting the starters, but, It's a lot easier to send a message to your starters when you have a full roster of Div 1 players. When you have to play 4 walkons to send a message to your starters that gives you an idea about the lack of depth.

I was glad that Eddie let the walk ons play a lot as well as Okoro, Williams, Foreman and Williams. Of the starting 5 the only one who seemed to be playing okay was Myles. He shot 4-6 and made three 3's. He cannot do everything by himself. I'm glad that Foreman scored 10 points. At least he takes it hard to the basket. Jack again was too far away from the basket and several times no one stepped in front of a player driving to the basket. We also left shooters wide open again. Hopefully next season we will improve.

Didn't watch the game...had obligations and before I sat down to watch on DVR I asked if the game was within 15 points....

He has terminated my interest in watching. I can't take his lethargy on the defensive end any longer.

I can't make the Indiana game until about 6PM...I am not even bothering anymore. If I knew 11 wasnt playing i might have an interest.

I didn't waste my time even watching the game. I turned on at 12-5 and turned it off.

Except for Lewis, next years team will be all Eddie's guys- right? You have got to hope the b-ball IQ kicks in and the offense starts to click a little. I know everyone says we don't have as much talent as other teams. To me, we do have as much talent if many cases, but play DUMB basketball and our coach doesn't know how to make us smarter.

I cannot stand watching Kadeem play anymore- half hearted, no enthusiasm and plays no D and misses more 5 foot shots than anyone in college basketball. That's when he isn't jacking up a 3 with 27 on the shot clock or bricking a foul shot!

There's not a single guy on this roster who plays like they are pissed off. Shaq would be the closest thing to that, but he only shows it in spurts.

I definitely think the minutes Jordan played the starters has caught up and players are fatigues physically and mentally. Losing just puts fuel on the fire too. Jordan went all in against Vanderbilt (and really never stopped) game 1 of 3 games in 4 nights. He got the win which we badly at the time needed.

Right now we are shot and playing out the string.

I have been saying this for 2 seasons...with one exception, the players who returned are here in body...that's it. I appreciate their loyality...as it is the difference between being 10-12 wins and 4 wins in the last years...

But ...but I am disappointed that they have ONE college career and just can't lay it on the line every night...

Pay attention when the lay ups and dunks are being made by the opposition...and who is on the floor

People completely underestimated the mess Eddie was left...

Now...NEXT YEAR there is NO EXCUSES for this type of effort. ZERO. NIL. NADA

I can live with turnovers...and missed shots next year...especially with a young team

But I want to see 13 guys on the floor ready to run threw a wall for each other and the school the represent.

Eddie MUST demand this of anyone who returns...or else the end of the bench they go

This is a completely accurate post. We might as well also throw in that the talent on this team is extremely limited, and no one has consistently played above his talent level.

I think there are only 4 players who would play on an average Big 10 team:

1) Mack is a loyal warrior, and deserves better. However, on a regular basis, he was forced, at 5'10" to play 40 mins a game, be the only one on the team that can handle the ball, and be the leading scorer with opposing teams, every game, game planning toward stopping him.
2) Jack is an enigma, like we have had many times before -- Herve, Inman, Donnell Lumpkin, etc. For whatever reason, his talent has not equated to consistent production. Low basketball IQ many times, and questionable coordination. I appreciate him. His defense is lax, but I don't think its a matter of not working hard, as there are many stories about him putting in serious work in the gym at midnight (albeit on his jumper and not defense -- but shows effort and wanting to get better)
3) and 4) Etou and Foreman could at some point in their careers be solid Big 10 players on a decent team, but this team does their growth no favors. They are inexperienced and inconsistent, and often times look disinterested. But talent wise --- they can hang.

Mike Williams plays hard, but at this point is an undersized shooting guard that can't shoot, and Doorson looks like a hardworking, rugged project who may at some point develop into a guy who could average 7 and 6 in the A10.

Nobody else on the team would ever sniff playing time on an NCAA tourney team.

Frustration by the head coach won't change the outcomes on the score board..The lack of talent combined with very little evidence of player development and execution of basic fundamentals leaves this program in desperation mode.The future also remains bleak on and off the court and I simply don't see any plan of action to change the direction toward Littlepage total futility.I feel sorry for Jordan because I doubt he fully understood the obstacles at Rutgers prior to accepting the job.

Loyal, no doubt. Mack is consistently giving effort, But Jack is lost a lot, takes ill advised shots, turns the ball over a ton.

People that keep saying you don't know how this team will win without these two next year should think differently. Mack is hard to replace, but Jack unfortunately just isn't that great. Nothing a team will desperately miss. Decent offense, but shoots too much, dribbles too much, and is lost 80% of the time on defense.

Just get past the fact that Jack not returning is not a huge detrimental loss to next years team and it will become a lot easier to throw on your Rutgers Basketball shirt in the future.

Loved it. You can see his frustration during his press conferences. It's all about effort guys - we lose by 20 with you or we lose by 30 with you on the bench.

No one with an inkling of a basketball IQ thought Jack could play in the NBA. Rutgers fans across both sports have "4 Star Syndrome" and think anyone who has that high school accolade has a future at the next level. It's just not the case. Production is the first prerequisite and Jack doesn't get it done.
