Woodard is riding the stationary bike on the tunnel. He is dressed as though he could play. Really sluggish start. ECU is terrible. They may not reach 20 in the first half.

I know ECU is bad but it's nice to see Taplin playing more, our offense seems smoother with him out there...just threw a nice pass to Swannegan.

Got home in time to start watching with 12 minutes in the half (Gold nailed the stupidity of the start time). My God this is ugly basketball.

ECU: turnover or 1 and done on each possession. They are simply terrible. Struggle with basic layups. Can't shoot.

Tulsa: can't frikken shoot. Sloppy on both ends of the court. In spite of that, if we don't stay the course and walk all over these guys people should be flogged.

Hate to whine about a 20 point lead, but its like we don't know we can't shoot. Why not work on getting the inside shot - that's where we are scoring against these slugs. Miss outside shot or midrange jumped, get put back. OR... get steal/rebound, run floor.

We know we can't shoot, right?

ECU is beyond bad. They would struggle against Rogers St.

We're up 20 and we really haven't done anything. ECU plays zone but leaves the baseline and middle open, they don't rebound, they don't move on defense and they shoot worse than the Washington Generals. Lebo might want to think about abandoning ship soon

Taplin is playing well. Should have played him the last two games. He's the only point guard we have.

I'm behind but GUYS.

Dre just took a pass and didn't dribble or hesitate and just dunked it. Two hands.

I like Taplin's shooting stroke and his overall court awareness. He made a 3/4 court pass to Ray on a break earlier, one the money when he had a player streaking the left side but that pass would have led the ball handler into the defense. This kid has outstanding court vision and his game is silky smooth.

I am guessing Haith was sparing him against SMU as Moore may have eaten a freshman alive and having Taplin in Shake is probably a big size mismatch.

Anyone know what Juice's injury is? Thought it was originally an ankle but he doesn't have an extra tape or a brace on it during warm-ups. He's on the bike which is usually a sign of a muscle strain and trying to keep it loose.

Tulsa is playing awful but ECU is playing worse. This is my first time seeing the Pirates but if this is normal for them they have regressed.

I can hear the shots clanking off the iron all the way up here in Chicago! But then I am watching the game with surround sound :D

Very little talent. Very little talent. Woodard is our only above average college player.

Gold.... you never quit. Love it. And my wallet speaks for itself. Ask the Law School Dean.

My point time and again with the team is that the ordinary and simple eye test concludes:
"Tulsa does not have NCAA talent."

BUT.... there is hope. I am betting the farm on the next cycle of players. Begins with Taplin I guess. Here's to hope! The AAC is just gonna get stronger (i.e. Houston).

Birt the most disappointing....but his JUCO coach didn't start him either. Taplin and TK will start next year. Need three more starters for next year.

TK, Etou, Birt, Henderson, Taplin.

Until we get a stud juco and/or a 5th year guy (which I think we'll get) this looks like the starting lineup. Henderson is avg 19.8 pts on 50.5% fgs and 45.6% 3-pts. And I would think a top 150 player who had offers from Kansas, Maryland, Xavier, Miami, Memphis and others would start as a 4th yr junior.

Doubt we ever hear. Sounds like he was behind some guys. Then again, a lot of guys get to a school as a freshman and don't like it for whatever reason. I have high respect for their program, but could understand not liking the school. He went to the same high end private school in Dallas that the Pressy children went to.

TK, Etou, Birt, Henderson, Taplin.

I hope we can find somebody to start in front of Birt, or hope that his shooting becomes less streaky. No arguments on Henderson. I think Etou may be given a run for his money by Artison.

Just saw the Taplin off the backboard pass that Smith stuffed. Much better than the one above which was off a missed finger roll. AAC has the Taplin/Smith combo as one of its dunks of the week. IMO, it was absolutely intentional to avoid the shot block and 2) to give a rebounder an opportunity
