Elevation at ERHS 657ft. Elevation at SWR nearly 730ft. Could be a factor. Will the Wildcats be able to adjust? Could be winded early from all the scoring. Will just have to wait and see.
Not sure what elevation of Mt Airy is, but could we be considered as honorary flatlanders? We need some love.
Need oxygen therapy on the sidelines. Maybe some of those Mt climbing shots

Somebody, I think it was Buzz if not I apologize, made a thread so we could talk about deer hunting last year and not interfere with their “ my team is better than yours” mantras. Anyway I usually only hunt in big woods. Only time I ever put out corn is when my son is coming home so hopefully he can see something while he’s here.

Well there are a couple of overzealous guys who like to get in digital shouting matches with equally overzealous guys from the higher elevations…
That may or may not contribute to your lack of love for said fan base…
Mt Airy may have to participate in the higher elevations group. They’ve got that one mountain thing that sticks up that looks like the mole on wicked witches face. That thing could be close to 4 figures on the elevation. Once you get that high you have to leave the flat landers page.
Well dang it. I will see if we can get that obstacle removed. It did try to burn down last year but no luck.
I am sorry but that description of Pilot Mountain is really wrong. Now any regular, reasonably adult human that looks at that mountain will almost certainly see a very close resemblance to God's most perfect womanly creation!
Well that is a much better sounding account of the mountain. However we all know if a young lady is laying on her back and they look like that they are not made by God.

Well, I was right about one thing. It wasn't easier for Southwest. However, it was way harder for ER than I expected.
Devonte Brooks saved ER's butt last night. That long run started a huge momentum swing. My hat's off to Southwest. They came to play. Easton Clapp gave the Wildcats fits. Adam Cole's punt return TD put SW up 12-7 at one point. The biggest surprise, to me, was how well the Cougars did in the trenches. That battle was virtually even. I really started to wonder if the Cats were going to get that final touchdown. SW almost pulled off a huge, huge goal line stand.
The other big play for ER was Nicah Taylor's interception in the third quarter.
I'll be blunt. ER did not look great last night. Sure, they did what they needed to do to pull it out. But, man.......the Cats did not look like a #1 team (honestly they didn't look like they belonged in the top five). I hope that type of performance is in the past.
If that version of Southwest shows up on Fridays from here on out, they'll get second place.

Anyway if my old mind recalls correctly, ER turned it over on two picks in first half deep in SWR territory. Stratton was 4-7 with 2 INTs in first half. Same stat line at end of game as well I believe. ER did not throw a single pass in second half. Not sure if it was conditions, again I was in my recliner, or just an executive decision.
So using everyone else’s logic on these here forums, put those lost TDs on board and take away SWR TD that was a direct result of ER jumping offside on 4th and 4 and you have ER winning 34-7
