Why is no one calling out his poor play over the last 5 games? Blame everyone else, but him. He is supposed to be the leader on the team. I understand he is a Freshman and all of that ****, but next year the excuse will be that he's a sophomore. The talent is there, the supporting cast and coaching is not. But damn. Nut-up, clear your head, overcome the **** around you and start playing like the 5 star you are.

We should just fire all of the worthless sack of **** coaches we have
UCLA has been rolled by almost everyone this year and they look like a playoff team against us… but then everyone does

Is it a coincidence that the two freshman starting quarterbacks have regressed as the season has went on?

His mind even in interviews seems off. Sorry, but he just doesn't look very good. I think Haarberg needs to play. Even Kaelin. Given him some competition.

No, and I don't wanna defend raiola too much because he hasn't looked good... but the way this has gone I really don't think any of the other qbs would have played it differently... based on the play development and what we saw last year. This is clearly a coaching problem from top down

The offense has no tempo. No consistency. No creativity. It doesn't respond to the defensive alignment. I would have fired Satterfield before the Ohio St game.
But we need to be honest about Raiola's play. He hasn't played well. At all. 7 interceptions and no TDs in the past month+.

He's played like ***, yes. He may not be the guy, yes. But every single qb we're throwing in there will look like *** in this offense. Everyone begging for haarberg right now is forgetting that he was one of the worst qbs in all of college football in the last 20 years statistically, which also is coaching not helping him. As I post this DR just had a beauty of a ball... I think it's clear these plays are *** and these coaches are ***

The Defense has really been playing like **** today! UCLA needed 15 yards for a 1st and their dude ran and got it. WTF??!! Guys running wide open, can’t tackle. This team is so fragile when just one thing goes wrong. It’s like they crawl into a shell and never want to come out. I think football is just not their thing for alot of these dudes

If he leaves it will free up some cap money.

[Sarcasm but not really.]
Haarberg looked pretty good throwing the ball and running the offense with no timeouts. That interception was a fluke play and I don't hold that against him. I just feel like we need to be faster getting to the line of scrimmage, have offensive rhythm and stop playing like we want to giver the defense time to settle down.

He's looked like a freshman with a bad play caller, subpar o line and te and a bunch of receivers who haven't been well coached

It's not DR's fault he keeps getting trotted out there when he's struggling. That's on the coaches 100%.

And what about the preseason BS "We think we can win with any of our three quarterbacks." ?

Not reading it well. Not stepping up to throw. No confidence. I will defend him by saying he's a freshman but I also don't think he's being prepared well or used well. Satt is absolutely part of the equation.
HH looked more comfortable in the pocket at the end than DR has since 1st or 2nd game.

I saw it starting in the spring game that Haarberg was throwing with more zip on the ball. You can tell he's been working on that part of the game. I've thought he's certainly deserved more chances this year than he's getting.

But of course this coaching staff is starstruck by an 18 year old freshman who's only slightly more mobile than a statue.

I agree. The “coaching“ that they were getting along the way made both DR and AM worse as time went.

100% agree. Raiola just looks uncomfortable and is taking way too much time to throw the ball all of the sudden. I'll see a receiver break free and he just never sees him. Haarberg was making some nice throws. That last pass was a fluke but it was really on the money if the receiver held on or got it on the deflection.

Freshman QBs, because of their lack of experience, don't react very well to adjustments made by the opposition as the season goes along. I think that's why DR is not seeing open receivers and why he's holding onto the ball too long.
It's a learning process no matter how talented one is.

He will ruin his career if he stays here. If he goes somewhere with good coaching and talent around him, he can still develop into an NFL caliber QB.

I said it was a bonehead hire by HCMR to begin with and I have seen nothing to change my mind. If HCMR doesn't get rid of Satterfield soon (like years end) Nebraska will get rid of him after the next year...my uninformed, I'll advised, somewhat intoxicated opinion.

You can't ask him to shoulder having no line, run game, and poor play calling. He has issues and was overrated by people but I 'll keep him.

Sucks for us that DR is taking his lumps and getting an education, and might end up playing elsewhere and another program will get the benefit

Yeah..it's always difficult firing those guys mid season. I honestly never thought they would. But if ST or OC is back next year I'll know all o need to know about what our coach values.
