CBS Sportsline has him "returning to college", but having hired an agent. Can someone clarify?

CBS is full of ****?
Or reporting false news!Yeah if he’s hired an agent then there’s no way he can return to college, so obviously someone at CBS Sportsline is seriously confused.
He signed with Markelle Fultz’s agent a while back. The combine didn’t help him as he measured 6’2 with a 6’8 wingspan. His bio several places had listed a 7 foot wingspan all year. He is great at two things, slashing to the rim and on ball pressure D. He didn’t get much opportunity to showcase that at Duke. The rest of his game is coming along but not NBA worthy just yet. I hope some team sees his long term potential. He is certainly coach-able and hard working. He really played within a system that didn't directly benefit him. There's value in that positive attitude.
Maybe this is for financial reasons?? I'm sorry, but it is IDIOTIC to call a player out for wanting to begin his professional career. Even worse, comparing him to a player who was a bust.Avery 2.0
Avery was also a lottery pick if memory serves me correctly.Maybe this is for financial reasons?? I'm sorry, but it is IDIOTIC to call a player out for wanting to begin his professional career. Even worse, comparing him to a player who was a bust.
Do some homework on Duval's background, it's safe to say he wasn't a Trust-Fund kid...
Ditto with Avery. Some guys have no choice but to begin cashing checks. I'd care much more about making sure my family is able to pay their electricity bill than what some "fans" of a college program think.
Even if he didn't stick in the NBA, I bet William Avery made much more money overseas during his career than most could ever dream of making in a lifetime.
He was, the #14 pick in the 99 draft. Probably was a guaranteed 10-12 million dollars on that rookie contract, I'd take it!Avery was also a lottery pick if memory serves me correctly.

That’s a great point about the two different teams. I certainly agree he would have fit in perfect on the year prior, and boy did we need a pg, would have been a win win.Givony who runs Draft Express, put it best: For a lot of guys, even ones that know they are going to be second round pick, they figure they may as well start the process of working their way up through the D league.
.
TD needs a lot of work on his shooting, but will excel at PnR, both on D and O. That makes more sense than possibly sitting behind Jones. Jones isn't necessarily a better player than TD, but JT fits next year's roster better than TD would. I'd have sold my, and many other, soul(s) to get TD on the roster with Jayson Tatum. That team didn't need more perimeter shooting, and TD's on ball D wouldn't have been an exacerbating element on a team that didn't have great rim protection. He'd have been a great (if not perfect) fit on that team. Alas, twas not to be.
