What's everyone's take on him after his resignation from the Tour ?? My personal opinion is he's willingly made his own decision.....is evidently not looking for any kind of exceptions to be allowed to play both Tours........meaning I wish him the best in making grandkids for The Great One.

Meanwhile, if you didn't catch the update today, the USGA has decided both he and Lefty are welcome to play at Brookline this month because they've fairly qualified; no more and no less.

A lot of people on social media look like they are on the payroll of the PGA dissing anyone that would think about the LIV, while wearing their Nike crap waving a Chinese flag. Hypocrisy runs deep with this one.

DJ got paid 125 million dollars upfront to join the LIV. I’m sure every other top 20 player in the world received around the same offer. Tiger is rumored to have turned down a high 9 figure offer

I would take that money and if LIV ever tanks they will be welcomed back to the PGA. Especially the top players.

I assume you may be referring to Tiger and Rory, just to name a couple.

1. Tiger turned it down probably because he is not in golf shape and there was probably expectations of full-time play in the LIV circuit.

2. Rory did turn it down, but we don't know why. I'd speculate that he turned it down because he expected Tiger $$$$ and wasn't offered that.

My opinion on this is that the PGA Tour can do whatever they want. I personally don't see this Saudi league lasting very long. The one impact it will have is that the Euro and PGA tours will have to make adjustments to their policies to appease the higher profile players. They are using this new league as a bargaining chip. And for those that rode off and took the Saudi money, when the league folds, they'll have to go to Qualifying school in order to get their cards back.

Those exemptions are good for only a certain number of years, and I believe the PGA Tour has a set number of "minimum" tournament appearances in order to keep them as well. Some majors are life-long exemptions. I was talking about them going back to full-time PGA status, not just the majors.

Tiger turned them down because he still has a lot to play for concerning his place in PGA history. Plus, he's already a billionaire so money isn't the motivator for him it is for others.
