Duke vs Michigan preview

We're currently around a 2.5-3 point underdog to them. They have some big bodies to throw at us. It use imperative that Pat will have to stay out of foul trouble. Think they'll throw Morez Johnson or Yaxel on Evans similar to what UNC did with Stevenson on Evans...A defender who is both bigger by size and strength to make it difficult for him.

What are everyone else's thoughts?

Not to be overly simple, but everything that we talk about the team needing, like rebounding, shooting, defense, limiting turnovers, and staying out of foul trouble, has to be done Saturday.

Michigan is probably the best team we will play.

Pat can’t commit any dumb fouls. Cam has to be the best player on the floor. Sarr must harass them everywhere. Evans needs to hit at least 3 threes and finish at the rim. UL/MSU Foster needs to show up.

Do those things and have our bench be competitive and we will win.

Yep that’s what’s giving me some optimism lately. Ever since Scheyer benched Slim to start the 2nd half at Pitt., he’s responded with a major uptick in hitting 3’s and scoring.

Yep that’s what’s giving me some optimism lately. Ever since Scheyer benched Slim to start the 2nd half at Pitt., he’s responded with a major uptick in hitting 3’s and scoring.

When Slim has Fun Hooping and shows it on the court it is a Joy 2 watch!

We saw it at times last season. I was Blessed to watch it at the ACC Tournament last March and at Louisville twice in the last couple of seasons.

This will be a good test for us. They are big up front and lot deeper on the bench. I like that we have a fighter's chance to win this. I agree with others, Pat has to stay out of early foul trouble. If he picks up 3 early, they will punish us inside. Evans seems to have found his stroke again, we need him to score 15+. Cam will get his like he always does. Let's see if Foster can step up as a Junior and have a good impact on this game. He doesn't need to score 20, just needs to contribute. Let's see how good our defense is against one of the top teams in the country!

I love that this game was scheduled. In the big picture, unless its a blow out one way or the other, the game shouldn't have a big impact on either team. Both should still win their conferences and be 1 seeds. I am less anxious about this game than any other conference game. Could easily be meet again in the final four!! Just be competitive!

Even though we might be a 2 point underdog in this game, make no mistake, this is a huge, huge game for Michigan. They know who they are playing, and will be more fired up than usual.

With that said however I can’t see it having anny effect on seeding.

Both teams will be 1 seeds, provided neither slips up the final couple weeks.

Should be a fantastic game.
