A duke win and we are th #2 seed and won’t have to play VA. Also would slide Unc with the tiebreakers to the #6-7 seed. That being said that would meaning habe to play Va so they could be looking at losing 2 out of 3. Thus giving them a possible 3/4 seed in NCAA

Simple pleasures indeed. I live knocking them down in standings etc. but they are the one team where it wouldn't matter what was at stake, just want to destroy them. To give and example: of beating UNC meant having to watch a FF featuring UCONN, Maryland, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, I would still rather beat UNC.

Always want to beat unc. This game is bigger because they have one in the bag. Don't want them to break out the broom in our house.

Make our shots

Limit turnovers

Create turnovers (at least more than two this time)

Take advantage of second chance opportunities

Keep feeding the post.

Those are all things that hurt us in the first match that need to be corrected.

Does anyone see an article that lists our seeding scenarios if we happen to lose Saturday? I know if we win we are the 2 seed.

I haven't seen one updated with UNC's loss last night, but my understanding is this:

We lose, NC St and Clemson win out - 5th
We lose, Clemson loses, NC St wins out - 4th
We lose, NC St loses (Clemson doesn't matter at this point) - 3rd

Some of the tiebreaking may have changed last night, specifically in the scenario that NC St loses a game and Clemson doesn't, but I believe we still end up behind UNC but ahead of Clemson in that scenario.

I know nobody here wants to hear it, but I think they're gonna get us. Berry has way to much heart to go out on Senior night and at Cameron like that, dudes gonna be clutch as hell. I understand they lost last night but they played hard the entire game, we haven't been doing that. Our kids better get right or we're gonna get embarrassed.

At one point I thought we might drop this one but I've changed my mind. I think both teams play well but Grayson ends up being the difference and we win by 8.

Same here. Saturday isn't as much about Duke-UNC for me, as it is about it being Grayson's final game in Cameron. I want Saturday night for him. I want him to go out in style.
I concur. One of these teams is going to have a two game losing streak heading into the ACC tourney. How often has that been a possibility? Not often. It will be nice to see Grayson go out on a Duke blue note.

I’ll never root for UNC, but I would not have been that upset if they won last night just because I don’t like Duke playing experienced teams coming off a loss. They’re already hyped up enough to play Duke so the added variable of coming off a loss only increases their focus. That said, Duke by 1 in a nail biter. Hopefully, with Grayson hitting the game winning shot on senior night.

I never, ever, want UNC to beat Duke, but this Saturday has that same special feeling for me, and that's Grayson. What I wouldn't give for a win on his "Senior Night".
I just read that Joel Berry said after their loss last night that he loved to win at Duke. Wish that was posted in the locker room.
I would like to send this prayer to the "Basketball Gods", that you please shine on Grayson and Duke this Saturday Night, and for his love of Duke, please send him out a victor in his last night in Cameron. Amen.
Go Duke!

Lets just beat the brakes off of them! We'll certainly reap benefits, but to me hopefully we do play UVA and beat them for the ACC title to make a statement!

Duval and Goldwire should be used in tandem to wear Joel out. If Tre isn’t going to give us offense, he can at least create havoc for UNC’s best player and start some fast breaks. Press him for 40 minutes. Why not?

Goldwire should be nowhere near Joel on Saturday.
I disagree, as Tre isn't exactly a guaranteed plus for us. I think playing at home is a good time to let the young guy loose and to harass Joel for 10-15 minutes. Goldwire can shoot threes better than Tre, so as long as he's not turning the ball over, he'd be fine in short stretches. JG has been playing ball his whole life. He is better suited to guard a guy like Berry than Grayson, Trent or AOC. He doesn't make a lot of dumb plays from what I've seen this year. He is more ready for this moment than the average fan would assume. If Goldy comes in and dribbles off his foot twice, then yeah go ahead and pull him.

I know this isn't K's philosophy in big games. I'm not going to cry about it when we play 7 guys total and the starters are in for the entire second half. We've won a ton doing it that way.

But we play zone so he can't be harrassed all game. Unless we run a box-and-1

Duke is going to win this one. Duke was beating the piss out of them in the Dean dome until the D fell apart.....ain't happening again on D though.
Nah, Roy and company just lulled you guys to sleep. Then took off. Everyone knows it. Can't pull that trick this time.

I agree, SoCal. UNC shot a blistering pace, and still couldn't beat Miami 'cause the Hurricanes were even better. The Tar Heel defense has been trending down. I remember earlier in the year, I believe it was in the 30's on Kenpom, then it dipped into the 40's. Now, after last night it's 58. It seems to me they're a little like what we were in that they need to score a ton of points to win. Our defense is definitely improved (14 Kenpom), even though our offense is not scoring as much lately. Sure, the Heels could win, but I think we'll kick their ***. Not too long to find out.

Yeah i just don’t think we are going to agree here at all. This just seems like classic the back up qb is the best player on the team thinking to me.

Goldwire will serve as a solid backup through this career at duke, that is fine. This game and the rest of the way isn’t the time for us to be testing things out, especially against a guy like Berry. Dude just dropped 31 and i can assure you the Miami guys were doing whatever they could to stop him. And 10-15 min is a damn good chunk of time. It’s not going to disrupt Berry at all, in fact it would more than likely just disrupt the flow of our team. Duke has its rotation set. If we are tinkering with or testing things it’s to make sure that our rotation and starters are a well oiled machine on both ends.
